It has been an incredible journey for 50 Cent, as he prepares for the release of his next album. 50 Cent originally intended to release his next album in 2010. However, following the lack of promotion for his last album led to him moving the G-Unit label from the longtime home, Interscope, to EMI Records.

While G-Unit Records was moved to EMI, 50 Cent was still contracted by Interscope Records. Owing the label one more album, 50 Cent ended up falling out with Dr. Dre. There had been rumors of issues between the two for years. But, after 50 Cent launched his own headphone line, these issues came to a head.

50 Cent maintains he and Dr. Dre are now on good terms and that he will be on Dre's next single, "The Psycho." With a new collaboration and a new single, 50 Cent was finally able to come out with a new single, "Outlaw." The song is the lead single to his often delayed untitled fifth studio album, which 50 Cent says will finally be released right before Thanksgiving in November.

Last November, 50 Cent toyed with the idea of releasing a sequel to his 2009 album, Before I Self Destruct, which was also an acclaimed film. While discussing his fifth studio album, 50 Cent said he would also be releasing Before I Self Destruct 2. However, the sequel to his 2009 release will come after the release of his untitled fifth studio album. Over the next few months, 50 Cent will reveal the title of his upcoming album and release more singles.
