It has been a couple of years and J. Cole's debut album has still not seen the light of day. Last year, fans were under the impression the debut J. Cole album would be coming soon. These rumors grew after "Who Dat" was made into a single.

Despite the song becoming a minor hit, Roc Nation did not opt to push a J. Cole album. Before the end of the year, it seemed as if they had put J. Cole on the backburner in favor of Willow Smith. But, following her "Whip My Hair" single, they pushed her back.

Throughout the first half of 2011, there has been much discussion from critics, fans, gossip sites, and magazines about J. Cole's debut album. The Fayetteville, NC rapper announced he had completed the album. Many rappers have completed, unreleased, albums.

With fans growing impatiently upset, J. Cole has given himself a deadline to finally release his album. He said the album will definitely be released before the fall of 2011. The album is already complete, as previously mentioned and J. Cole is excited. Trying not to sound full of himself, J. Cole said the album is actually incredible.

Without saying too much, J. Cole said he is sitting on gold because his album is going to go down in history as a classic release. J. Cole promised his album would be released no later than September and once the release date is set in stone, J. Cole will announce the title of the album.
