Lil B was determined to make history with his debut album. In an attempt to turn a positive into a negative, Lil B decided to name his debut album, I'm Gay. Coming from the West Coast, Lil B did not receive the type of publicity he hoped for. He was panned by critics and received death threats from homosexual groups.

When questioned about the title of his album, Lil B said he named his album I'm Gay because he was, happy. The original term for gay is happy, but the media has turned it into something else. On the brink of superstardom, Lil B was very happy. However, he decided to make this known on his album's title, changing it to I'm Gay (I'm Happy).

Recently, Lil B held an interview with GowhereHipHop.com and he discussed his new album. During the interview, Lil B said his album was going to be revolutionary. Forcing people to open their minds, Lil B said his new album will change the world and the way people look at things. As a hip hop artist, Lil B took a major risk in naming his album I'm Gay, but he did because he is happy.

Lil B also revealed he is working on a project with Lupe Fiasco. But, before this project, he has another one coming out with Jay Electronica.
