It is human nature to compare and contrast. With Lil Wayne releasing Tha Carter IV yesterday, fans immediately compared the album to Tha Carter III. Sales-wise, companies are interested in seeing how the albums do.

Tha Carter III sold 400,000 copies on its first day and went platinum before the end of the first week. Mack Maine, the president of Young Money, spoke on the record sales. He said he is not worried about how Tha Carter IV does.

Mack Maine said Lil Wayne told him not to be disappointed if the album does not do as well as Tha Carter III. From there, the Young Money president discussed albums that sold poorly in their first week and went on to sell millions.

Each Young Money artist, who released new music recently, has worried about first week sales. In spite of those worries, they still managed to sell very well in the first week and beyond. Tha Carter IV is currently in stores now.
