There have been numerous parrallels between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, the media has been trying to make Lil Wayne into the second coming. At the peak of his career, in 2001, Jay-Z featured Eminem on his The Blueprint album on the lone collaboration, "Renegade." It was after this song when people said Eminem dominated Jay-Z on his own song.

Ten years later, Lil Wayne is at the peak of his career. Wayne recently released Tha Carter IV and featured Tech N9ne on his song, "Interlude." With the album being released, critics are saying the focal point of the song, Wayne, was outdone by Tecn N9ne. This also comes nearly a week after Lil Wayne disses Jay-Z. It was during Lil Wayne's prison sentence when the two teamed up.

Last September, Tech N9ne revealed he had visited Lil Wayne and they decided to feature Tech on Tha Carter IV. Now, following his brilliant performance, Tech N9ne is afraid he will not land many more collaborations. Artists, obviously, do not like to be outshined by artists they feature on their albums. The meeting took place right after Lil Wayne conduced an interview with Funkmaster Flex, of Hot97, while behind bars. During his interview, Lil Wayne mentioned how he would love to work with "his man" Tech N9ne.

After landing the Lil Wayne collaboration, Tech N9ne was hopeful he would land Eminem. However, Em has not been very receptive. Many think this is because Eminem is afraid of being outshined on his own record. However, Tech N9ne does not feel this way because he says Eminem is "damn near the best rapper out there." Seeing Eminem as one of the top lyricists in the game, Tech N9ne said he does not think he is afraid to go against any other rapper in the game.
