Kanye West helped Twista pull off an improbable comeback, right before the release of his debut album. Twista was so impressive Roc-A-Fella Records was preparing to sign him to a multi-album deal. Due to the breakup, Twista was never signed to the label.

While Kanye West quickly became the Roc's biggest artist, he was also the head of G.O.O.D. Music. Among the first artists signed to the label was Roc affiliate Consequence. In 2007, he released his debut album. Cons intended to release a second album in 2008, but it never happened.

The constant delays of his second album is one of the many reasons he left G.O.O.D. Music. Now, Consequence has expressed his distaste to the public. The Queens rapper has called out Kanye West and Pusha T on several occasions. Pusha T had ignored several of his earlier disses, but he could no longer hold his tongue and he spoke out against Consequence.

Recently, Twista gave his opinion on the feud. Twista feels as if the two should have never made their issues public. Knowing the history, Twista said he wished they could have talked before they decided to begin talking to the media. Despite how big the situation has come, Twista says it is still really more of an in-house situation. Twista said he knows it could have been talked out, because he saw it before with Fat Joe and his former artist, Remy Ma. He still feels they could have talked out their problems before going public.
