Snoop Dogg to replace Bill Cosby at NBC?

When NBC was struggling for ratings, during the early 1980s, they turned to comedian, Bill Cosby. Through his successful sitcom, "The Cosby Show," the perception of black people was forever changed, as did Bill Cosby's image. Before his family sitcom, Cosby was a comedian, who told all kinds of jokes.

When "The Cosby Show" was completing its iconic eight season run, Snoop Dogg was emerging in the rap game. Snoop Dogg's image was the total opposite of what Cosby represented. Like Cosby, Snoop Dogg has turned himself into one of the most-marketable men in the hip hop industry.

Now, things have come full circle for Snoop Dogg. He has gone from being America's worst nightmare to being the new Bill Cosby. Once again working with Don Reo, as they did for the "Brothers" sitcom, from a few years ago on FOX, Snoop Dogg has a family sitcom. The series has yet to be titled, but it will be broadcast on NBC, with Snoop Dogg filling the shoes of Bill Cosby from twenty years prior.
