Game explains ending feud with Jay-Z

Long before he ever released his debut album, Game has had an issue with former Def Jam CEO, Jay-Z. Their feud stems from an issue Game had with Memphis Bleek. Before signing to a major record label, Game recorded for Get Low Recordz in California. He was the flagship artist for the label. Meanwhile, Bleek started Get Low Records in 1997.

The two rappers began feuding in 2001, but Jay-Z was soon brought into the feud. Bleek had to step away to be with his family, so he could not go back and forth with Game. Over the years, a deep animosity has built between Game and Jay-Z. In 2005, Game released his debut album and it was filled with Jay-Z disses.

Multiple times, Game has called truces with Jay-Z. The most-recent one came when he took Jay-Z's side over 50 Cent. Late last year, right up until early this year, 50 Cent started a feud with Jay-Z. Game sided with Jay-Z and said there was no way 50 Cent could beat Jay. Later, he admitted he, too, could not last against Jay-Z.

Even after making those statements, Game began dissing Jay-Z again. However, he was soon forced to stop because of his new business arrangements. In February, Game joined forces with Pharrell, who has a great relationship with Jay-Z. Because of the history he shares with Jay-Z, Pharrell said Game could not be on his team disrespecting Jay-Z. P said Game does not have to like Jay, but if he wants to continue to work with him, he will not be dissing Jay-Z.

Due to the chemistry he has with Pharrell, Game quickly obliged. Recently, he announced his feud with Jay-Z is officially over and he does not have plans of restarting it. From the beginning, he has been completely ignored by Jay-Z. On the opening track of The Blueprint 3, Jay-Z told Game he would never be baited into a feud with him.
