Cam'ron explains Kanye West diss

Last summer, Cam'ron attacked Kanye West with a diss over the instrumental of "Runaway." For years, Cam'ron has had beef with his mentor, Jay-Z. Their beef stems from Cam's stint at the Roc, which led to Dame Dash leaving the label.

In the middle of the feud and after Kanye West sided with Jay-Z, he featured Cam'ron on his Late Registration album. At the time, Cam'ron was still bigger than Kanye West. Kanye asked him to appear on the album to boost sales.

Fast forward to 2010 and Kanye West is now not only bigger than Cam'ron, but the biggest act in rap. Cam'ron needed a beat from Mr. West, but he didn't deliver it. Cam said he does a favor expecting one in return.

Cam'ron admitted his diss aimed at Kanye West was because he did not return his favor. The feud was quickly ended and the two have since recorded together. Despite being dissed by Cam'ron, Kanye West that hip hop needs Dipset just as much as it needs Jay-Z and his statement songs.
