Diddy to become Hip Hop's first Billionaire, according to Forbes prediction

Before he began rapping, Diddy was hip hop's original cash king. Jay-Z, at the time, was still wrapping up Reasonable Doubt and 50 Cent was still a street hustler. Meanwhile, Diddy, at the time Puff Daddy, was well on his way to becoming the next Russell Simmons.

For years, Diddy was often named as the top earner in the hip hop industry, as he had a record label and a clothing line. Jay-Z did not even show up in the running until he launched Rocawear. However, in recent years, Jay-Z has dominated the list.

But, according to Forbes, Diddy will still become a billionaire before Jay-Z and 50 Cent. The publication cites Diddy's deal with Ciroc as what will boost his net worth and send him into billionaire status. While Diddy is predicted to reach it first, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Birdman, and others made the list.
