Papoose names himself King of New York

New York hip hop has been in a state of emergency for some time. Several new artists have emerged from New York with a hit or two. Each time this happens, they are automatically dubbed the King of New York.

Papoose was among the buzzing artists who was given the title. While his debut album, The Nacirema Dream, never did release, Pap continued to dominate the mixtape scene. Still hoping to break into the mainstream, Papoose has made a major proclamation.

Through his Twitter account, Papoose made the statement "I am the king of New York."
