Finally, J. Cole is preparing to release his debut album. With the album complete, J. Cole is now waiting for a release date. Regardless of what happens, the Fayetteville, NC rapper said fans will hear his album before the end of September.

Describing the album, J. Cole said his album will be "really heavy," not wanting to brag off himself. J. Cole said the album has the perfect balance between serious topics and party topics. All in all, J. Cole feels things could not have gone much better for him.

With the album close to complete, J. Cole said he might release a mixtape before the album drops. This mixtape would likely consist of the songs that did not make his album. J. Cole has not confirmed the mixtape or the album's release date.

J. Cole makes "106 & Park" debut

Earlier today, the official video of J. Cole's video, "Who Dat?" premiered to the world. With his video making its world premiere, J. Cole kept with the rap tradition of going over to "106 & Park." Right after his video hit the internet, he headed over to the set of "106 & Park" to speak about his upcoming career.

The rapper sat down with Terrence and Rocsi to discuss the details of his upcoming album. While he has been working since the fall of last year, he still has not recorded with any other artists. No guests have been confirmed for the album, because he wants the album to be a classic. Currently, his video has gained popularity through the internet.

Shot on the streets of Fayetteville, North Carolina, J. Cole has announced to the hip hop world his arrival. Hoping this will be the first of many videos for him, J. Cole has set the release date for his album in October.

J. Cole plans Summer Release for Debut Album

There has been talk of J. Cole for some time now. He has been working on his top-secret debut album since 2008. Not too many people were interested in J. Cole, initially. But, he gained worldwide exposure when Jay-Z featured him on "A Star is Born." Cole's verse on that song landed him all the exposure and hype he needed.

Many people assumed that his debut album would be released sometime before the end of 2009. Despite what people thought, his album did not come then. Late last year, his first single was released. "Lights Please" was not promoted very much, but still gained notable airplay. The song only intensified hype about his debut album.

Now, with the release of "Who Dat," his latest single, people are wondering when his album will be released. Drake has already compared him to Nas and the people want Cole to deliver. He has yet to choose a title for the album and he does not have a set release date. J. Cole wants to set a late summer release for his album. He wants the album to come out in either late August or early September. In the near future, J. Cole will reveal the album title.
