Everywhere he goes, Lil Wayne seems to break records. His latest album, Tha Carter IV set a new iTunes record for first week sales. Entering its second week on the charts, Wayne's latest album is already platinum.

Throughout the early parts of this year, Lil Wayne's Carter IV lead single, "6 Foot 7 Foot," dominated the charts. The single was followed by "John" and "She Will." Lil Wayne recently leaked eight songs from his album.

Now, Lil Wayne has set a Billboard record, having eleven total singles on the charts. Wayne has tied David Cook and Taylor Swift for the most singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Wayne now matches Jay-Z in another category, being second to only The Beatles on the charts.

In 1964, the British group had fourteen songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.

Jim Jones disses Lil Wayne, calls him out on Gang Affiliation

By The Hip Hop Writer

Last night, Lil Wayne closed out the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and fans took notice. Lil Wayne's outfit attracted more attention than his performance. Wearing spandex pants, Wayne performed "How to Love" and "John (If I Die Today)."

For years, Jim Jones has been a strong Lil Wayne supporter. The two rappers have made several songs together. Jones had almost recruited the Young Money CEO in his feud against Jay-Z. Since Weezy has called Jay-Z out, many would think Jim Jones would be reaching out.

This morning, Jim Jones did reach out, but not as expected. Through his Twitter account, Jim Jones said "real men don't wear spandex." It seems as if he was going after Lil Wayne. Jones went on to say it is funny how entertainers get rich and begin claiming Blood gang.

Without saying names, Jim Jones called out his old friend and former collaborator, Lil Wayne.

Single Review: Lil Wayne - "How to Love"

By Hardcore Critic

Towards the end of May, fans were gearing up for the release of the long-awaited Tha Carter IV from Lil Wayne. "6 Foot 7 Foot" had been dominating the radio for months and "John (If I Die Today)" was becoming a big hit. Lil Wayne was preparing to change things up.

"How to Love" was released and it immediately touched the hearts of fans around the world. Not only was the song different from other songs from Lil Wayne, at the time, it also had a powerful message. This goes without mentioning how Lil Wayne sang with no auto-tune.

The lyrics of "How to Love" describe a beautiful woman who made the wrong decisions in life. Now a single mother, she is stripping to support her family. In the video, which is reminiscent of 2009's "Prom Queen," the woman is shown to have turned a guy down in high school, which led to her contracting HIV while stripping. But, in the alternate ending, when she dates the guy, she is stable, successful, and discovers she is pregnant, as opposed to having HIV.

While the song's theme may have heavily borrowed from "Prom Queen," "How to Love" does stand on it's own legs.

Lil Wayne finally completes "Tha Carter IV"

By The Hip Hop Writer

Nearly three years of delays are finally over, according to Lil Wayne. Only months after Tha Carter III, Lil Wayne announced his next album, which would become Rebirth. Wayne's original plan was to release two albums in 2009. These plans never came to life.

However, Lil Wayne did release two albums last year, while behind bars. While releasing two albums in the same year, both during his prison stint, the album people wanted still loomed. Upon being released, Lil Wayne immediately began promoting his long-awaited Tha Carter IV.

Late last year, Lil Wayne released "6 Foot 7 Foot," followed by his Rick Ross-assisted "John (If I Die Today)," eventually followed by his latest hit, "How to Love." Speaking on "How to Love," Wayne said he was inspired by Tupac Shakur when recording this song. The style is not what made Wayne record the song, instead it was him trying something new, like Pac with "Keep Ya Head Up."

Lil Wayne said his song, much like the Tupac classic is an ode to the women. Wayne feels many women do not know how to love and there are many deep reasons why.
