Things have definitely changed for Lil Scrappy. The biggest headlines he was involved in this year was his love triangle with Soulja Boy and Diamond.

In 2009, Lil Scrappy signed with DTP Records and was preparing to become the new flagship artist. Still with DTP/Def Jam, Lil Scrappy recently released his "Tuffer" single.

Lil Scrappy talks Diamond and Soulja Boy

For years, Diamond was Lil Scrappy's girl. The two managed to keep their relationship under the public eye. However, now that she has moved on to Soulja Boy, all the talk is about Diamond's past relationship with Lil Scrappy.

When a intimate photo of Diamond and Soulja Boy hit the internet, it was Lil Scrappy's mother who confirmed the split. Scrappy's mother seemed very upset with the split. Soulja Boy had nothing to say aside from confirming the relationship.

Lil Scrappy has finally opened up about the situation and he does not appear very upset. Years have passed since he and Diamond were together. Now that she has moved on, Lil Scrappy wishes them well, saying he could not hate on a young couple getting money.

Ludacris hands DTP down to Lil Scrappy

Before the release of Battle of the Sexes, Ludacris had fallen out of love with the rap game. Having been in the game for nine years, Ludacris felt that he had done all that he could do. That was his reason for signing Lil Scrappy to DTP.

Lil Scrappy had been the star of Lil Jon's BME Entertainment. Early in his career, Scrappy created a few hits. But, because he was not properly promoted, Lil Scrappy fizzled away. He almost signed with G-Unit Records, but 50 Cent had his hands full.

In the end, Lil Scrappy needed DTP and DTP needed Lil Scrappy. Earlier this week, Ludacris set up the 2010 releases for his label. Having released his album early, Luda has plans of releasing Ludaversal in November. But, the marquee release from DTP will be from Lil Scrappy this year.
