LoPro discusses "Feeding Time" and New Projects
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
For years, LoPro has been dominating the mixtape scene. LoPro is continuing his dominance in on the mixtape circut. The Rhode Island rapper has partnered with Feed da Wolves Entertainment and he has other ventures going on.
Outside of making music, LoPro has landed a few endorsement deals. The most high-profile deal LoPro has landed has been with Royal Gear Clothing. Each of his moves has been promoted by the clothing line and he has done promotion with them.
Recently, Hip Hop Vibe caught up with LoPro and he told Mikey T The Movie Star about his new mixtape and his partnership with Royal Gear Clothing.
Read the interview below.
How are you getting into the game?
A lot of hard work and determination. Where I come from, it is not easy to make a name for yourself in Hip-Hop. There has not really been any artists who have put Rhode Island on the map. I've been striving to make it for the past couple years now, and now I am riding with Mikey T The Movie Star and Movie Star Management. I have been doing alot of networking with artists, producers, DJs, and promtional teams. This past year has been going pretty well for me. I have recently become one of the newest additions to the Feed Da Wolves family, as well as linking up with numerous artists and producers for the mixtape I am currently working on.
What are you currently working on?
There's alot of work to be done this month and the follwing. I have the new mixtape, titled Feeding Time, which will be a Feed Da Wolves presentation, hosted by Bang 'Em Smurf. The mixtape will have a few features, from artists such as Deadzones Profit from Miami, Florida, Shake-A-Vel from Brooklyn New York, and a few Feed Da Wolves Members. I have just released the newest music video titled "Day Dreaming" which can be viewed on YouTube, Hip Hop Vibe, and all of my websites. As well as working hard to finish Feeding Time, I am also in works to produce my first EP, which has not been titled as of yet. We are working on 4 more music videos as of now. I am hoping to be able to produce a music video for every track on the EP, and maybe have it as a double disc.. For now we are just grinding hard as always, doing shows and flooding the industry with new music and interviews
You've been hitting the studio lately recording for the new mixtape, Feeding Time, how has the process been?
It has it's ups and downs like everything else. It's hard to keep up with everything without financial stability and where I'm from it's not easy to make money. If your not a hustler or a thief, it's not easy. Jobs are limited. Rhode Island is very tough to live in. I never claimed to be a gangster, but I do what I have to to live. I love the studio, if I could I would be in the booth 24-7, 365. It's the only place I feel where I can let go, and release my stress. But the mixtape is coming very soon. I'm just finishing up the last few tracks for the mixtape, getting the cover made as well as duplication, Then it's a wrap.
Who would you like to work with?
There are a few artists who I would like to work with, such as: Maybach dice, Domination and all the FDW family who i have not yet had the priviledge to work with.As far as mainstream artists I'd like to work with, AZ, Corey Gunz, Maybach Music, Young Buck, theres a few. Basically I'd work with anybody who's got talent.
What lyrics are you touching on in you music?
I'm versatile so there will be alot of different emotions on Feeding Time, Club Tracks, Street tracks, Tracks for the ladies, But mostly from the heart and the journey through my life. The ups and downs, Good and bad. I dont feel like I need to be the best punchline artists, or have to come up with the wittiest metaphors for the people to be able to relate, or understand and enjoy what I offer.
Who are the artists that influence you?
Tupac, Notorious BIG, Big L, AZ, Nas, Onyx, DMX, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Big daddy Kane, Craig Mack, Mobb Deep, and so many more.
What impact do you want to have on the game?
I wanna be the one people know put Rhode Island on the map for good, and pave the way for other local artists who are striving to do the same. I want people to hear my name and know who I am and where I'm coming from. I want to bring back that raw feeling to hip-hop.
How did you land an endorsement deal with Royal Gear Clothing?
I was recently contacted by Mikey T and Tevan Savage, the CEO of Royal Gear. I am one of the new faces you will be seeing Wearing Royal Gear Clothing, amongst other artists. We are working together to help the movement with myself and the Royal Gear clothing line, which will be available really soon.
Do you have any final words and people you would like to shout out?
To my team, we're here now, and their not gonna take that from us. It's time to Feed Da Wolves and anyone standing in the way is food. We're everywhere, all over the states and more. Shoutouts 2 Bang'em Smurf, Mikey T. The Movie Star, Domination, Maybach Dice, Five Alive, Money Mo, Maybach Billz, Finesse, Royal Gear Clothing, Deadzones Profit, Madbeatz,Feddy Beatz, Shake-A-Vel, DRI LINN ENT, Southpaw Da Don, The Whole FDW Family, Vertgo & Beatbox Studio, Myster DL from 100 MAD, And anybody that I forgot you know I got you!!

LoPro discusses Feed Da Wolves and New Mixtape
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Recently, Hip Hop Vibe's Mikey T The Movie Star caught up with LoPro. His name has been getting buzz for quite some time and he has quickly become one of the most-popular rappers on the underground. Since signing with Bang 'Em Smurf's Feed Da Wolves Entertainment, things have only gotten better for LoPro.
In October, LoPro was featured on Hip Hop Vibe as an "On the Rise" artist. At the time, he was still thinking of a concept for his upcoming mixtape. The following month, he was featured here again after coming up with a concept. With his mixtape right around the corner, Hip Hop Vibe called LoPro to do another interview.
In this exclusive interview, LoPro discusses his relationship with Feed Da Wolves Entertainment, how he got in the game, and his new mixtape, Feeding Time.
HHV: Getting into the game ?
LP: I've been rapping for about four years, Been In the game for two. It started off just as a fun type hobby, me and a few homies used to get wavyy and just kick freestyles all day long to instrumentals. I always used to say how much I hated the radio because it's so dam commercial and always playing the same garbage over and over, so what was once just a hobby, became something alot more serious to me. I'd sit and watch all these people commercial and underground and think to myself, "I'm nicer than half of these clowns who are being put on in the industry & getting spins all day on the radio." Two years ago, I linked up with Mikey T The Movie Star through mutual homies, and I guess you can say he kinda lit a fire inside me.The rest is history. Within the two years that I've been in the game I have excelled at a rapid rate, performing at numerous venues locally and non local, and have been making multiple contacts and linking up with numerous artists that are now supporting the movement.
HHV: What projects are you currently working on?
LP: I'm currently working on a new mixtape which is due to drop in mid Janruary. The mixtape will be titled Feeding Time, which will be hosted by Bang'em Smurf, the president of Feed Da Wolves Entertainment and Mikey T. The Movie Star and it will be released through Feed Da Wolves Entertainment. The mixtape will have about 15 tracks, featuring artists such as Money Mo from FDW, Southside Sinatra and Shake-A-Vel from Drilinn Entertainment, among others.
HHV: Is There a Deeper meaning behind your mixtape name, Feeding Time, than it was behind your previous mixtapes, Shut Your Mouth & Listen and Face the Music.
LP: Feeding Time is for the hungry, determined, and motivated. People who are tired of the usual same old, same old. I'm tired of waiting and sitting by as all of these half-assed, no talent artists make it big just based on who they know in the industry. 2011 is the year of the Wolves. And it's feeding time the team is here and we will not go hungry.
HHV: What lyrics are you touching on in you music?
LP: A wide assortment of music for your listening pleasures, versatility is a must. Without that it's just the same old thing and that is not what I am. You will hear stories of past, present and future. My pain, struggles, and the journey through my life. I do not consider myself to be one of these artists who thinks hip hop is all about who says the best metaphors or punchlines. I'm raw and I keep it that way. One of the greatest rappers of all time was and still is Tupac Shakur, yet his music was not all about metaphors and slick rhyming, but more heartfelt and real.
HHV: Artists that influence you?
LP: I've always been a Pac fan, but the rap game in general is my influence. If I had to label a few I'd have to say Pac, Biggie, Big Pun, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, KRS One, all the way to the R&B side. The list of influences is long.
HHV: What impact do you want to have on the game?
LP: I don't care if I make it big in the game, I'm in it for the love of music and to give people something besides the same shit, to listen and relate to.I want to bring back that old feeling of hip-hop, not this pop shit that 90% of the industry is doing today. I want to put my state on the map, which has never been done before in hip hop.
HHV: Recent and Upcoming Work?
LP: As said before, the new mixtape labeled Feeding Time is due to be released in early to mid January. I have a new smash single out which is titled "RI 2 NY" ft. Shake-A-Vel as well as other collaborations with numerous artists. I'm currently working on numerous projects simultaneously, with artists Deadzones Profit From Miami FL, Shake-A-Vel,Myster DL from 100 Mad, and a slew of Feed Da Wolves artists..
HHV: Final Words & Shout Outs
LP: If you're heart is not in it 100% you won't make it anywhere. Stay grinding and never give up. There is always going to be sacrifices which one must make to go further with their dreams.
Hold your head high and lay down for no one.
Shoutouts to my team : Mikey T. The Movie Star, Caesar Ceelo, Ryan B Hyeeze and B.A.R.S. Ent., the whole Movie Star Management Team, Bang'em Smurf, Domination, Maybach Dice, Money Mo and the whole Feed Da Wolves movement, Shake-A-Vel and Drilinn Ent., Myster DL and 100 MAD, Triple B and all my local artists who show love and support the movement.
