While many expected J. Cole to release his debut album either last year, or the year before, it was well worth the wait. By waiting to release his album, J. Cole has the spotlight all to himself. Not only is he the biggest artist on Roc Nation.

J. Cole's album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, is set for release in a couple of weeks. In preparation for the album's release, J. Cole will be starring in the first episode of MTV2's "Road to Release." It will be very special, indeed, for J. Cole as he is the first star of the show.

"Road to Release" will follow J. Cole from Miami to New York City, as he promotes his album. Not only will fans get an exclusive look at J. Cole, they will also have the chance to see a part of his video, "Can't Get Enough." The episode will air tonight at 10 pm on MTV2.

Mos Def retiring his name at the end of 2011, will be known as Yasiin

During an interview with MTV2's "Sucker Free," the legendary Mos Def announced some changes in the near future. At the end of 2011, Mos Def will no longer be making music. While the Mos Def named will be retired, the rapper will continue to record.

While Mos Def said he loves his rap name, he feels it is time to move on. Starting on January 1, 2012, he will be known as Yasiin. For over twenty years, he has been recording as Mos Def. Forever, the name will be remembered.

Mos Def said the name has been with him throughout his career. While known as Mos Def, he became the man he is today, but he is now focused on the future.

Lil Wayne discusses "Tha Carter IV" and Recent Success

Recently, the Young Money CEO spoke with MTV2 about his new album and his string of success. Much like all other anticipated albums, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV leaked. Unlike many other artists, Lil Wayne was happy about this. Lil Wayne said he was glad the album leaked.

Speaking on Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne said "we did real good this time." Despite the leak, his album is still expected to sell close to 1 million copies in its first week. Speaking on the leak, Wayne said "it means the people just wanted to hear it." Lil Wayne pointed out how many other albums from other artists could leak and they never do.
