Ja Rule gets more Prison Time

In the middle of his gun charges, Ja Rule was brought under investigation for tax evasion. Rule was sentenced to two years of prison in 2010. Following the sentence, Ja Rule began his prison bid a little over a month ago. Now, Ja Rule has been given even more prison time.

Even with everything going on, Ja Rule still intends to release two new albums. Initially, Rule intended to release The Renaissance Project. While working on the album, Ja also began working on another album, Pain is Love 2. Ja Rule originally planned to release both albums on June 7.

While neither album has come, Ja Rule has been promised even more prison time. Being brought down on tax evasion charges, Ja will be allowed to begin his sentence after the weapons sentence is served. Ja Rule is expected to see his official release sometime before the end of 2013. In the meantime, fans will be waiting on his album releases.

Ja Rule to reunite with Ashanti for New Song

Ten years ago, Ja Rule and Ashanti recorded "Always on Time," one of the biggest records of the last decade. The song was on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a number of weeks from January 2002 until June 2002. From that point forward, Ja Rule and Ashanti were the biggest hip hop/R&B tandem.

Following "Always on Time," Ja Rule and Ashanti recorded several other hits. In 2003, they followed with "Mesmerize," before being decimated by feuds. By 2004, things were back on track for Ja Rule. Alongside R. Kelly, he and Ashanti recorded another top five hit with "Wonderful." But, legal issues with Murder Inc. led to the end of everyone's career.

Ja Rule finally took matters into his own hands and landed his comeback. He has scored a minor hit with "Real Life Fantasy" and he is buidling his fanbase back. For years, he has promised to reunite with Ashanti. Lloyd brought Ja Rule and Ashanti out for one of his performances and allowed Rule to perform "Real Life Fantasy." Now, Rule has finally been able to reunite with Ashanti on one of his new tracks. Produced by Ja Rule, himself, the song "LOL" will feature Ashanti.

The only hard part for Ja Rule is deciding which album it will be on. Next month, Ja Rule plans to release two albums, Pain is Love 2 and The Renaissance Project on June 7, 2011. Ja Rule is having a hard time deciding which album to put "LOL" on.

Ja Rule plans post-prison World Tour

So many people have counted Ja Rule out when he was the top rapper in the game, period, ten years ago. Many who used to be his biggest fans have suggested the former Murder Inc. rapper should give it up. Ja Rule has heard it all and will soon be facing a harsh reality, but he has not given up.

Ja Rule has taken matters into his own hands and has been gaining new fans. He is rumored to be one of the guests on the long-awaited Detox from Dr. Dre and he was seen partying with pop group, Diddy-Dirty Money. This is a far cry from the days when artists were ashamed to associate with Rule.

Earlier in the spring, Ja Rule released "Real Life Fantasy" and the song has become a minor hit. The song will kick off his Pain is Love 2 album, a sequel to his 2001 classic. Surprisingly, the hip hop websites have given the song positive reviews. Ja Rule intends to release this album the day before he goes to prison, while pushing his other album, The Renaissance Project, back for the time being.

Upon getting out of prison, Ja Rule intends to have a tour bus pick him up so he can head to his first performance on a world tour. He wants to call the tour 40 Days and 40 Nights, going to forty different cities back to back. For the first stretch on the tour, Ja Rule wants his family to come along. But, when the schedule gets a little harsh, he wants to drop his family off at home and go back to performing. When he returns home, Ja Rule is confident the rap game will be his again.

Ja Rule releasing Two Albums on June 7

Following a six-year hiatus, Ja Rule is making his comeback under his own terms. The Queens rapper is planning to release his next album through his own Mpire label. Recently, Ja Rule teamed up with Fontana Distribution for distribution. When news of him being sent to prison on June 8 circulated, Ja Rule announced his album would come the day before.

Ever since the fall of 2010, Ja Rule has been discussing his upcoming album, The Renaissance Project. As he has neared the completion of the album, Rule announced another album he was working on. For years, Ja Rule has talked about releasing two albums in one year in order to complete his comeback. Recently, he announced he was working on his next album, Pain is Love 2.

In 2001, Ja Rule released Pain is Love, an album met with much commercial and critical success. The album remains the highest-selling album in Def Jam history, despite the sour ending between Ja Rule and the label. Every album since his classic third has been Ja Rule trying to recreate magic. At times, he has been very close, but his frequent attempts to do the same thing over helped him lose fans to 50 Cent. Ja Rule has finally moved past all of this and he is now planning to release both of his albums on the same day.

June 7, 2011 will see the release of both Ja Rule's The Renaissance Project and Pain is Love 2.

Last week, Ja Rule made news when he was able to have his prison sentencing moved back. With so much on his plate, Ja Rule was unable to report in March. Lil Wayne had similar delays last year, when he was taken to the same prison.

Ja Rule is trying to tie up all of his loose ends, mainly his comeback album. Aside from music, Rule also has to pay late taxes. He was given two more months to get everything back together. During this time, Ja Rule will finish recording his album and start his next one.

Already in the studio, Ja Rule is putting the finishing touches on The Renaissance Project. Rule has released three singles off the album. The official release date has been set for June 7, 2011. Ja Rule will release the album through his own Mpire label and Fontana Distribution. The next day, June 8, 2011, Ja Rule will head off to prison.

Ja Rule staging comeback before Prison Sentence

The past seven years have not gone the way Ja Rule has expected, but he has not given up. In 2007, he reiled on the powerhouse, Universal Records, to stage his comeback. But, once he realized he was a backburner with them, Rule took control of his career.

While still representing Murder Inc., Ja Rule is focusing on building his Mpire label. Ever since 2008, he has been working on projects with them. Now, Ja Rule has plans of returning to the music industry. Currently, the Queens rapper is working on his eighth studio album, The Renaissance Project.

On this album, Ja Rule is growing up, saying what he feels, but in a different manner. Aside from the album, he is also filming for a reality show before he goes to prison. Ja Rule working on "Pain is Love 2"

The past few years have been an incredible journey for Ja Rule, the former focal point of the game. After being away for three years, Ja Rule announced his comeback album. The album was initially titled Love is Pain, a sequel to his 2001 classic, Pain is Love album.

However, due to changes, Ja Rule released Love is Pain as a mixtape. He changed the focus of his album and changed the title to The Mirror. Due to label issues, the album was released digitally in 2009. In the time since the album's botched release, Rule has been working hard on his comeback.

Seven years have passed since Ja Rule last released and promoted an album. His latest album has gone through many changes. The album was initially called Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, but he changed the title of the album because he was tired of the sequel albums. Later, the album was titled The Renaissance Project. After numerous delays, he promised no more changes and no more delays.

Recently, Ja Rule announced he may end up releasing two albums in 2011. The Renaissance Project will be released as planned, but Ja Rule is already focusing on his next project. He will reunite with the producers on the original Pain is Love album and attempt to recreate magic.

Ten years ago, Ja Rule owned the rap game. At the time, it was not uncommon for him to have three hit singles out at the same time. He was putting the finishing touches on his third album, Pain is Love, and cruising while fans played his songs. His breakout hit, "Between Me and You" had just fizzled away and his next single, "Put it on Me," had just began to rise.

Ja Rule was seemingly invincible because the radio stations would play his music repeatedly. Not even major players like Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg received radio play like Ja Rule. For a short period of time, they were not selling like him either. Rule's second album sold three million copies and his third sold six million.

Before long, film companies were reaching out to Ja Rule hoping to cast him in movie roles. The rapper appeared in The Fast and the Furious, but turned down a role in the entire franchise. By 2002, Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the game, having accomplished more than most rappers could in ten or fifteen years. Looking back on his success, Ja Rule said he dreamed of selling a gold album so he could afford to take care of his mother and his young daughter. But, he never expected to become the highest-selling artist on Def Jam.

Ja Rule has experienced major highs and he has experienced major lows. As fast as his career rose, it fell even faster. Ever since his fall from grace, it has been hard for him to remain relevant. He released a successful album in 2004, but Murder Inc. was dropped from Def Jam immediately after. The label suffered from possible ties to organized crime and Ja Rule's career hung in the balance. Despite all of this, Ja Rule still felt as if he could stage a comeback. In 2007, he had everyone convinced he could stage a comeback with a new deal with Universal Records.

However, Universal Records was uninterested in properly promoting Ja Rule and they eventually shelved his comeback album, The Mirror. In 2009, Ja Rule independently released the album and tried to land his comeback as an independent artist. Even with a slight change in his style, Ja Rule could not regain the fans that he once had. No matter how hard he tried, Ja Rule could not get one of his singles to stick. Two years later, he remains confident he will be able to make a comeback. If he does not receive credit for anything else, Ja Rule is the most persistent rapper in the game.

Things are not looking good for the rapper as he will soon be headed to prison for a two year stay. Before he heads to prison, Ja Rule plans to release his eighth album, The Renaissance Project and he also plans to return to the big screen. He understands he will not be exposed the way he was ten years ago, but Ja Rule does hope to become relevant in the game again. This will be his third time trying to stage a comeback and many fans have lost hope. Some of the fans may have lost hope, but Ja Rule remains highly confident in his chances with his back against the wall.
