T.I. to return to BET Awards
For the first time in three years, T.I. will be attending the BET Awards and will perform. Three years ago, T.I. got himself into a lot of trouble when he was caught with weapons on the premises. Quickly, T.I. was brought up on charges. Earlier this year, he finally ridded himself of all legal woes because of the gun charges.
Older and wiser, T.I. has decided to give up the gangster lifestyle and focus on his career. Not only is he the head of his own business, he is also the face of his business. From behind bars, he expanded his Grand Hustle brand from simply music to film companies and television production. He has to be around to keep this going.
Despite moving into ventures outside of music, T.I. knows the music is what draws the fans in. Not only does T.I. have plans of starting more businesses, but he also plans to take over the rap game. Ever since his release from prison, T.I. has been working on King Uncaged. The first single, "I'm Back," has built up a considerable buzz.
The single has been the proper lift-off to his latest album, King Uncaged. In an effort to keep the single rising the charts, T.I. has plans of performing the song at the 2010 BET Awards. The last time he performed at the BET Awards, T.I. performed his hits, "Big Things Poppin'" and "You Know What It Is." During this time, he was still engaged in a feud with Ludacris. The Atlanta rappers spent the night trading subliminal disses with each other. In the end, T.I. issued an apology on stage, but for BET not DTP.
