By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Since coming out of prison, T.I. has had several projects coming at once. Among his most surprising activities is his literary workings. T.I. is currently promoting his book, which is called Power & Beauty.

While T.I. has had legal issues, fans know to expect a T.I. album every year. At one point, Young Jeezy fans were to expect the same thing. But, three years have passed since a new album came from Young Jeezy.

Most recently, his TM103 album was given a new release date of December 20. T.I., who is featured on Young Jeezy's new single, "F.A.M.E.," spoke on this. With Young Jeezy trying to put together the right album, T.I. blames Def Jam.

T.I. said the situation could be out of Young Jeezy's hands as the people do not know what goes on in the offices of Def Jam.

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

In the time since T.I. has been out of prison, he has been releasing music non-stop. Unlike his previous prison release, T.I. seems to be hungrier. While his next album will not come until next year, T.I. is still releasing singles. His big comeback single was the Big K.R.I.T.-assisted, "I'm Flexin."

The song did enough to re-establish T.I., who has recorded tracks with several artists. T.I. also helped give Future a boost when DJ Drama helped him get on the "Magic (remix)." In an effort to get his name back out there, T.I. revealed he may release a mixtape this year.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, T.I. discussed the name of his next album. Currently, Tip is debating between two titles. It is going to be a tough decision, said T.I. T.I. said his album may be titled Kill the King, because the object of Chess is to kill the king. A long time ago, T.I. revealed he was the king of the South. With his recent trouble, T.I. said his next album could also be called Trouble.

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

For months, B.o.B. was out of the spotlight until he announced his work for his second album. Last month, B.o.B. announced his single with Lil Wayne, "Strange Clouds." Soon, B.o.B. announced his album would share the same name.

B.o.B. promised to have a number of high-profile collaborationso n his second release. Being T.I.'s artist, B.o.B. can have T.I. on any of his albums. Bobby Ray used this to his advantage and landed Tip for his new album.

In recent years, Andre 3000 has been one of the most-elusive artists in the game. Recently, B.o.B. was able to get Andre 3000 on his latest album. T.I.'s contribution will be a sample from Drake's 2010 track, "Fancy."

T.I.'s line "She play niggas like B.o.B. play the guitar," will make the hook of the song, as B.oB. actually plays the guitar. The new track is called "Play the Guitar."

T.I. remixes "Niggas in Paris," says it Will Be Heard Regardless

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Focused on regaining the spot he surrendered in 2009, T.I. has been jumping on all the hot tracks. Since he has been gone, the hip hop scene in Atlanta has a few new faces. Future, the man behind "Tony Montana," is among them. His "Magic" single had been doing well.

DJ Drama pointed T.I. in Future's direction and the "Magic (remix)" came about. Another hot song out is "Niggas in Paris," as nearly every rapper has freestyled to the track. T.I. has strong relationships with both Jay-Z and Kanye West. But, since they released their Watch the Throne, they have been distant.

T.I. is a fan of "Niggas in Paris" and has plans of remixing the track. Unlike the other artists who have gotten on the beat, Tip wants to make it an official remix. T.I. said if he is turned down, however, he will still push the track. T.I. said he played the song for Kanye West, who played it for Jay-Z, but they have not gotten back to him yet.

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Yesterday, T.I. discussed how important it was for rappers to get into writing books. This week, T.I.'s own Power & Beauty book will be hitting book stores across the country. Just like how he is with his albums, T.I. is not showing any signs of slowing down. Already, he has more books in the works.

Now, out of prison, T.I. is focused on doing a lot more than getting his new music out. He has spent nearly an entire year away from his wife, Tiny. T.I. is also focused on spending more alone time with his new wife. The two had just gotten married before T.I. was sent to prison.

T.I. and Tiny will be spending plenty of alone time together when they begin writing their new book. Right as he releases his first novel, T.I. is working on his next book. With Tiny, T.I. will be writing a book about romantic relationships. T.I. said he is at the end of Power & Beauty II and trying to end it and start the third installment.

The original Power & Beauty will be hitting stores on October 18 and his other books will be lined up soon.

Has Rick Ross become 50 Cent?

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

By 2008, it was clear Rick Ross was more than a one hit wonder, but he was on a collision course with 50 Cent. In the months prior, 50 Cent had dissed Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled. His own G-Unit movement was losing its fan base rapidly and the movement led by DJ Khaled was taking over.

DJ Khaled's We The Best movement was not yet a record label, just an assembly of artists. Lil Wayne and Plies were clearly the more popular artists from the group. Rick Ross, at the time, was more of a background figure. However, he had plans of changing the landscape.

The year of 2008 was eventually dominated by Lil Wayne and T.I., but Rick Ross had 2009. 50 Cent was also working on a comeback album and sending more disses towards artists affiliated with DJ Khaled. Early in 2009, Rick Ross released "Mafia Music," which contained a 50 Cent diss, poking fun at his baby mama drama.

The first half of 2009 consisted of Rick Ross and 50 Cent trading disses. 50 Cent, who was having issues with his record label, Interscope Records, boasted of how he would soon take over Def Jam. Once he took over the label, 50 Cent said he would block all moves made by Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. During this period of time, Rick Ross' name was in the headlines every day. Ross used this to his advantage, introducing his group, Triple C's, to the world and his Maybach Music Group.

50 Cent claimed victory in the feud, as did Rick Ross. At the end of the day, Rick Ross won, as his singles gained increasingly more radio play. By 2010, Rick Ross had become the biggest, active rapper in the South, prompting many hip hop publications to ask if Ross had become the "King of the South." One thing was clear, though, Rick Ross was a force to be reckoned with. His summer anthem, "B.M.F.," with Styles P, had taken over urban radio and Ross was on to better things.

Rick Ross promised he would be all over all forms of the media, in 2011, and he has lived up to the promise, with his God Forgives, I Don't album coming right before Christmas 2011. While he does not release diss records, Rick Ross is involved in a beef with Young Jeezy. Rick Ross usually releases a new album every year. Before Rick Ross landed on Def Jam, Young Jeezy did this. Now, Young Jeezy cannot even land a secure release date without something happening.

During a recent interview, Rick Ross was asked if he was behind this and he acted as if he was. When he was feuding with 50 Cent, Rick Ross was against his bullying tactics. During 50 Cent's feud with D-Block, who happened to be his Interscope label-mates, 50 was behind their album delays. Two years after he conquered the giant, has Rick Ross become the monster he set out to destroy?

French Montana recruits Diddy and T.I. for "Shot Caller (remix)"

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

While other rappers are calling themselves the "King of New York," French Montana is actively making it happen. This year, he has experienced much success with his "Shot Caller" single. The song has become one of the most-played radio singles in New York City.

French Montana recently completed the video for his popular single. The video will feature cameos from several of the hottest rappers in the game. Fat Joe, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and N.O.R.E. appear in the video. The "Shot Caller" video is expected to do just as well as the actual song has.

Before the video for the original track has been released, there are already bigger things in the works. French Montana has the remix of "Shot Caller" in the works. The remix will feature Diddy, who was previously mentioned, and T.I. French Montana credits DJ Drama for being the man who made this happen.

DJ Drama's favorite song, right now, is French Montana's "Shot Caller." When he learned French Montana was going to remix the track, DJ Drama wanted to see if T.I. wanted to be on it. French Montana said he guessed T.I. was asking Drama what were the hottest records to get on. With "Shot Caller" being a favorite of DJ Drama's obviously he pointed Tip in French Montana's direction. While the remix is going to be major, it will not be released for a couple of months.

The original "Shot Caller" track has done well, growing from the underground scene to getting radio play on both Hot 97 and Power 105. Despite the success of "Shot Caller," French Montana is holding off on his debut album until he decides who to sign with. French Montana has been courted by Diddy, who is also his new collaborator, and Rick Ross. However, he does have projects in the works with Waka Flocka Flame and Three 6 Mafia.

Big K.R.I.T. talks "Live From the Underground" delay and T.I. collaboration

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

When the September 27 release date for Live From the Underground neared, Big K.R.I.T. fans were excited. But, days before the album was supposed to come out, Big K.R.I.T. revealed the album would be pushed back. Despite his popularity, Big K.R.I.T. likely would not have sold like J. Cole, who also released his album on September 27.

Big K.R.I.T. fans were disappointed when he decided to delay his album until 2012. However, Big K.R.I.T. feels the delay was necessary in order to give fans the album they want. With the release date looming, samples still had to be cleared and features had to be confirmed. Aside from those problems, Big K.R.I.T. was also busy getting videos with 8Ball & MJG and 2 Chainz filmed.

However, Big K.R.I.T.'s biggest story is not about his own music. The Mississippi rapper made headlines when it was revealed he produced, and was featured on, T.I.'s comeback single, "I'm Flexin." K.R.I.T. said the collaboration was crazy and he said to look out for a feature during the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. It is still top secret, so Big K.R.I.T. can only say so much, so he ended the conversation by telling his fans to be on the lookout.

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Since he has come out of prison, T.I. has not stopped moving. When he is not in the studio, T.I. is hosting parties. His most-recent party was after the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. During this event, there were rumors of an altercation between he and Diddy. While Diddy did lose his temper, all was well with he and T.I.

Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg commented about T.I. and his frequent partying. Rosenberg asked if T.I. could take a break from partying as much as he has since being released. While the comments came off as harsh, Rosenberg said he was only looking out for T.I.'s safety. Too much partying can be dangerous.

Regardless of the intentions, T.I. was offended by the comments of his activities. On Twitter, T.I. called out RapRadar.com, asking them if his haters partied when he went to jail. T.I. said he also attended his children's athletic games and his daughter's first concert, taking all his children with him to the awards. T.I. said he was not going to sit back at watch someone else take over in his city, so he stepped up.
