Jay-Z and Beyonce join Dr. Dre on "Detox"

Dr. Dre has been promising Detox for well over ten years, but the album has been delayed for various reasons. It was not until 2008 when Dr. Dre sounded serious about putting the album together. At the time, there were rumors of T.I., Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z being involved with the album.

However, two years passed before music was actually released from the Detox album. Dr. Dre released the "Under Pressure" single, which featured Jay-Z. While the two have never been signed to the same label, Dr. Dre and Jay-Z share a mutual respect. The two have collaborated several times.

Regardless of how Detox will turn out, Jay-Z will be featured on the album. Dr. Dre's biggest protege, Game, has a feud with Jay-Z, but even he respects their relationship. Recently, Dr. Dre announced he had both Jay-Z and Beyonce in the studio recording for Detox. Despite the announcement, no one from Jay-Z's camp has officially confirmed their recordings are actually for Detox.
