Jay-Z will be the first to tell you, his dream was bigger than becoming a big-time rapper. Ten years ago, Jay-Z made history when he crossed the $100 million mark. At the time, Jay-Z was the only rapper to have so much money. What began as a simple rap career had expanded into clothing, films, and record labels.

Then, most would have said Jay-Z had accomplished more than most would in a lifetime. But, the Brooklyn rapper proved he was just getting started. Soon, he was also the CEO of Def Jam, along with running his Roc-A-Fella brand. Surprisingly, he gave all of this up in 2008 to become a regular artist again.

Months later, Jay-Z left Def Jam, entirely, and launched Roc Nation, securing a deal with Sony Records. Not only is Roc Nation a record label, but it also specialzies in filmworks. In addition to film, the company also manages several artists. Roc Nation profits each time Rihanna, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, and many other stars releases new music.

But, the company is also working with other genres. Even before they premiere J. Cole, their headlining artist, Roc Nation is a major success. Recently, Sangitold, of "Brooklyn (Go Hard)" fame, signed to the management branch of Roc Nation.
