Shawty Lo signs with G-Unit Records

In 2008, Shawty Lo made his mark on the rap game with his hit single, "Dey Know." The song has become his only hit to date, but Lo is known more for his feud with T.I. Last year, Shawty Lo and T.I. officially ended their feud.
Earlier this year, Shawty Lo discussed being released from his record label. Hoping to sign with a new label, the Bankhead rapper revealed he had discussions with 50 Cent. Admiring his business savvy and his accomplishments, Shawty Lo wanted to sign with G-Unit.
At the time, 50 Cent was shopping for a new label home. G-Unit spent six years under Interscope Records and 50 Cent was ready to make a move. Upon landing with EMI Records, 50 Cent added new artists and launched G Note Records.
Now, 50 Cent is preparing to revive his G-Unit South brand. With Young Buck now an enemy of G-Unit, it seems as if Shawty Lo will be the new ambassador to the South for G-Unit. Earlier today, Shawty Lo announced he was the newest addition of G-Unit Records.
