Eminem wins at Detroit Music Awards

Without a doubt, Eminem is the most famous rapper from Detroit, putting their rap scene on effortlessly. For years, rappers from Detroit had been trying to emerge. But, Dr. Dre discovered some of Eminem's music and the rest was history.

Despite being from Detroit, Eminem has spent most of his time out West in Los Angeles. The reason for him spending more time in California has been to record with Dr. Dre. Even his record label, Shady Records is based out of L.A.

For the Super Bowl, Eminem produced a commercial with automotive company, Chrysler, for Detroit. The commercial is still in circulation, due to the positive response. Recently, Em won two awards for his Recovery album and "Not Afraid" single at the 2011 Detroit Music Awards.

Eminem launches Clothing Line with Chrysler

Ever since his 2009 comeback, Eminem has been the most-popular rapper in the game. Last year, Eminem officially became the boss of the rap game. Not only did he dominate with his own album, but he also had major signings on Shady Records.

Early this year, Eminem has already made major moves with the return of Dr. Dre to the game. Because of Eminem, "I Need a Doctor" has become 2011's biggest hip hop hit. He also set the record for the longest Super Bowl ad for Chrysler.

Eminem teamed up with Chrysler for an advertisement, which promoted the city of Detroit. The commercial used the instrumental from Eminem's "Lose Yourself" hit. Following the commercial, the automobile company has been selling Eminem-themed t-shirts.

The shirts have been selling well over the past month. Now, Chrysler is taking things to the next level and they have granted Eminem his own clothing line. Chrysler will financially back the venture and Eminem will become the official face. Years ago, Eminem had success with Shady Clothing through Marc Ecko. Now, he will give clothing another try with his new Chrysler venture.
