Yealwolf gets Kid Rock for Debut Album

Recently, Yelawolf decided to push his debut album back until 2012. Many were looking forward to hearing the first official album from Yealwolf. When he delayed the album, his fans were disappointed. But, this delay has given Yealwolf the time to add more guest appearances.

For Radioactive, Yelawolf already has Eminem, Gangsta Boo, and Lil Jon. Now, Yealwolf can add Kid Rock to the list. Kid Rock was initially one of the first white rappers to enter the game. But, when he shifted to rock music, his throne was eventually taken by Eminem.

Yelawolf has been dubbed the "Eminem of the South" by many fans and critics. The comparisons come from their sound, as opposed to lyrical content. It was ironic when Em added Yelawolf to the Shady Records roster. Even more ironic is Kid Rock joining the track listing of his upcoming debut album.

Max B goes after Joe Budden for BET Cypher line

Hip hop fans and critics have all seemed to favor the Shady Records 2.0 cypher at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. They have been crowned the favorite for various reasons. However, not everyone was impressed.

During Joe Budden's verse, he mentioned Max B, poking fun at what landed him in prison. Budden's line said: "She’s so bad I make her hit the telly from a taxi and dead her in that Holiday Inn, learned that from Max B."

Max B finally caught wind of this and has taken to his Twitter, responding saying his Wave Gang needs to get him.

Rihanna hits back at Royce da 5'9 over Name Drop

In recent months, rappers have been name-dropping more than usual and it has not always been just friendly. Game, the king of name-dropping, recently was called out by Jay Electronica for mentioning his baby's mother, Erykah Badu.

During the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards, Rihanna's name was mentioned and it was not by Chris Brown. During the Shady Records' cypher, Ri was mentioned by Royce da 5'9. In his cypher, he said "hi Rihanna, bye Rihanna."

Recently, Rihanna responded to Royce da 5'9's name drop on through her Twitter account.

Slaughterhouse previews "Who's The Illest" track [VIDEO]

When Slaughterhouse signed with Shady Records, Eminem told them to continue doing what they do. Usually, when independent artists get signed by a major label, they are forced to change. But, Eminem was never forced to change and he does not force his artists to change.

Slaughterhouse has been working on their Shady Records debut, second overall, since signing with the label. The group, which consists of Joe Budden, Royce da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I, recently completed "Who's The Illest."

Currently, Slaughterhouse is in Atlanta, where they previewed the song.

Yelawolf's "Radioactive" delayed again

When Yelawolf began gaining popularity, many compared him to Eminem. Ironically, Yelawolf would end up signing to Eminem's Shady Records before the end of 2010. Immediately, Yelawolf began working on his debut album, Radioactive.

Late in the summer, of this year, Yelawolf announced he was going to release his album on September 27. As September 27 neared, he delayed the album until October 25. Now, in early October, Yelawolf has announced he has pushed his album back another month.

Needing to add finishing touches to his album, Yelawolf said he needed to delay the album. Yelawolf promised the fans he had some surprises in store. Now, Radioactive is going to be released on November 21.

Yelawolf begins "Radioactive" national tour

Before he was officially signed, Yelawolf was compared to Eminem by numerous critics. As fate would have it, Yelawolf would eventually end up signed by Shady Records. Now, the future of Eminem's record label is in Yelawolf's hands.

Yelawolf is currently putting together Radioactive, his debut album, which will be a Shady release. The Southern rapper is now preparing to go on a nationwide tour. On his tour, Yelawolf will be promoting his upcoming album.

Shady Records' new star's tour is called "Hard White," which is named after Yelawolf's "Hard White (Up in the Club)," with Lil Jon. He will be touring with DJ Craze and Rittz. The tour will begin down in Mississippi.

Radioactive will be released on October 24, 2011.

Slaughterhouse talks chemistry with Eminem

Recently, MTV News spoke with Slaughterhouse, asking them what life is like on Shady Records. Easily, Eminem is one of the most creative rappers in the game. Working for him seems like fun on the outside looking in.

According to the members of Slaughterhouse, Eminem takes a back seat and allows them to work. The four men said Eminem told them to record their new album the same way they recorded their last one. They even said Eminem acts more like a fan when he comes in.

Royce da 5'9, Eminem's longtime collaborator, said he told them they do not need him on the track to make a hit, as they already gained acclaim on their own. Joe Budden said it is easy to forget Eminem is one of the dopest rappers in the game when he is in the studio. While the recording process is in full swing for the group, there is no set release date for the Slaughterhouse album.

Yelawolf delays Shady Records debut, "Radioactive"

Earlier this month, Yelawolf announced his debut album, which was titled Radioactive, would be released on September 27. Yelawolf was slated to go head-to-head with J. Cole, who has his album lined up for the same release date.

With fans marking their calendars for September 27, Yelawolf decided to change his plans. The album is now lined up for a release date on October 25. Describing the album, Yealwolf said Radioactive is his life's work.

Eminem also spoke on Radioactive, saying he cannot wait for the world to hear his album. Having already heard the album, the Shady Records CEO said the album is a classic. Eminem also credited Yelawolf's original style.

Joell Ortiz talks "Watch the Throne" and Slaughterhouse album

Many of Joell Ortiz' Twitter followers think he dissed the new album from Jay-Z and Kanye West, Watch the Throne. On his tweet, Ortiz called people out for being followers and also taunted the "throne." For the obvious reasons, Twitter followers though Joell Ortiz had taken shots at the throne.

Earlier today, Joell Ortiz came forward to end any rumors of him calling out The Throne. Joell Ortiz said it may not have been him, who made those comments. The reason Ortiz said it might not have been him was because his phone was dead when the tweet was made.

When he was asked about Watch the Throne, Joell Ortiz said he had heard it. Despite hearing the album, Ortiz said he was not able to listen to the album the way he wanted. Being a hip hopper, himself, Joell Ortiz takes all of the music very seriously. After hearing three songs off the album, he said the album was "OK" and a cool album.

Quickly, the conversation shifted to the Slaughterhouse debut album, which will be released on Eminem's label, Shady Records. Joell Ortiz said the recording of the album has been epic, so far. The Bronx rapper went on to say the album is going to be incredible and he is so excited to see the final result of the album.

Joe Budden denies "Monster" title for Slaughterhouse album

Eminem to record EP with Royce da 5'9

Following two years of releasing albums, fans are eager to hear what 2011 has in store for Eminem. More than likely, he will take the year off to promote Shady Records. Eminem has already announced his first project of the year.

Teaming with Slaughterhouse's Royce da 5'9, Eminem plans to release an EP. The recordings will be the first time the two teamed up in over a decade. Following their string of collaborations, a feud erupted between the two.

In 2009, Eminem and Royce da 5'9 found common ground and they ended their dispute. The same year, Eminem laid the groundwork to sign him. Now label-mates, their recent recording session prompted Em to schedule an EP release.

The new EP is scheduled to release on June 14, 2011.

Royce da 5'9 to release album in July

In 2009, Royce da 5'9 reunited with Eminem and he ended up being signed to Shady Records. Royce da 5'9 has recorded several albums in the meantime, though. He released Death is Certain, a critically-acclaimed album, through Koch Records (now E1 Music).

Seven years have passed since the release of his acclaimed album. In the years since then, Royce has put out two more albums. Now, back with his partner in rhyme, Royce da 5'9 is ready to release the sequel of his 2004 album.

Royce da 5'9 has discussed his album, Success is Certain, for the past few months. Currently, he is preparing some of the collaborations for the album. Eminem will be featured on the upcoming album, which will be released on July 26, 2011.

The album will be released through Shady/Aftermath.

Crooked I talks future of West Coast hip hop

Even though he is a part of Slaughterhouse, Crooked I is still very much a part of the West Coast hip hop scene. Much like the other veterans, he is looking at the future of the West Coast. Not many successful rappers have come from the West, outside of Game. He and Snoop Dogg are the only consistent rappers out West.

Crooked I's career was supposed to have taken off years ago, but it never happened. First, he was recruited by Suge Knight to help revive his Death Row label. After leaving Death Row, Crooked I linked up with Irv Gotti for the launch of Murder Inc. West. Much like his venture with Death Row, this did not work out, either.

Returning to the mixtape scene, Crooked I became involved with rappers Royce da 5'9, Joe Budden, and Joell Ortiz and they became Slaughterhouse. Soon, Eminem began working with them and promised to sign the four men to his Shady Records label. Now, with his career finally on the right track, Crooked I can look towards the future of his coast.

Crooked I likes the music from Odd Future and he thinks they have a chance at redefining the game. He has been to a few of their performances and he loves the way they rock a crowd. Crooked I believes Alternative acts such as Odd Future, Pav Div, Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy, Blu, and Horseshoe Gang will help bring the West Coast back to prominence.
