Earlier this year, T.I.'s "That's All She Wrote" single was released to the radio, featuring Eminem. Months later, their proteges, B.o.B. and Yelawolf, have teamed up for a new single. The two have collaborated for the Jim Jonsin-produced, "It's a Party."

Not only are the two rappers proteges to two of rap music's elite, they are also rising stars in their own right. At a time when critics are writing off Southern hip hop, B.o.B and Yelawolf are among the new talents keeping it alive.

On Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne is going back to the basics that made Tha Carter III a success. First, Wayne reunited with Bangladesh. Recently, Lil Wayne also got back in contact with Jim Jonsin, the man behind "Lollipop."

Jim Jonsin has created several tracks that may or may not be used for Tha Carter IV. One of the tracks Jonsin has produced will feature Pitbull. Because he spends so much time in Miami, Wayne promised a Miami vibe on the album.

Pitbull is one of the most consistent rappers from Miami. He has had a few hits, but has remained an outsider in the game, for the most part. Having a feature on a Lil Wayne will do wonders for his career.

It is unclear if the song will be used for the album. Jim Jonsin did reveal he was the producer of the next single off the album. Jonsin said the song is comparable to the hit that started it all, "Lollipop." He said the song will be compared to the 2008 hit.

Lil Wayne settles "Lollipop" dispute with Jim Jonsin

Before the release of "Lollipop," Lil Wayne was hailed as a great lyricist with promise. At the time, he had yet to post a true radio hit. He had recorded hits with other artists, but had not gained a hit of his own. This would all change when he used Jim Jonsin's beat and created "Lollipop."

The song was released in March of 2008 and quickly rose to the top of the charts. "Lollipop"s popularity was great promotion for the accompanying album, Tha Carter III. The song propelled the album to end up going triple platinum. Even late in 2008, the song remained high on the charts.

While "Lollipop" forever changed Lil Wayne's career and established Jim Jonsin, there were problems. Jonsin was never properly paid for his work. The contract said Jim Jonsin would also receive royalties from the song. But, as the song continued to rise, Jonsin ended up being shorted and he took legal action.

Today, Jim Jonsin revealed he and Lil Wayne sat down and they made an "arrangement." He said he never had a problem with Wayne, they were just confused over the numbers. Now, everything has been settled and Cash Money Records has started paying Jim Jonsin the money he deserves.

Lil Wayne runs into More Problems

Already behind bars for a year, Lil Wayne has run into more problems since being behind bars. For years, Wayne was considered a good Southern rapper. Most people always credited Wayne as a decent rapper and being one hit away.

Seemingly at the peak of his career, Lil Wayne took a break from creating studio albums. Doing the unthinkable, he began rapping on the mixtape scene. Here, he built respect and became known as one of the best rappers in the game.

Once he built his reputation, Wayne sought to prove that he could make hit records. In 2008, he released his chart-topping hit, "Lollipop." The song dominated the summer of 2008 and made Jim Jonsin into a household name. Recently, it was revealed that he and Wayne are feuding.

Their feud stems from the "Lollipop" single and Wayne's latest lawsuit does, too. A rapper from Philadelphia has accused Lil Wayne of getting the idea of "Lollipop" from his 2007 single, "Grindin Like A Goon." He said that in 2007 he sent copies of the song to multiple artists, including Lil Wayne. The man is seeking an injunction to prevent further sales of Tha Carter III. He hopes to stop the sales of the music until he can figure out just how much they owe him.

Lil Wayne already has to come off of $500,000 in unpaid royalties to Jim Jonsin over the song. In addition to the problems with Jim Jonsin and "Lollipop," Play-N-Skillz are said to be upset over unpaid royalties from the other Wayne hit off of Tha Carter III, "Got Money" featuring T-Pain.
