Bow Wow pushes "Underrated" back until December 6

In 2009, Bow Wow announced he was retiring from the game, making his New Jack City, Pt. II his final album. Before the end of the year, Bow Wow had already signed a new label deal. He had been affiliated with Cash Money Records for years and he signed with them.

Despite signing with Cash Money Records, it took Bow Wow a long time to record an album. For the remainder of 2009 and into 2010, Bow Wow released several mixtapes. Now, after two years on the label, Bow Wow is one of the hottest mixtape rappers in the game.

With his buzz high, Bow Wow decided to release a new album before the end of 2011. Bow Wow named his album Underrated and set a November 1 release date. Less than two months remain until November 1 and Bow Wow announced he would be delaying his album for another month. Bow Wow cited business reasons for the delay of the album and promised it would be released on December 6.

Bow Wow said nothing is more important to him than his new album, which he says he has been working on since he signed with Cash Money two summers ago.

Bow Wow teams up with Lil Wayne for New Single

Earlier this summer, Bow Wow revealed his long-awaited Cash Money debut would be called Underrated. Bow Wow said the album would be released on November 1 of this year. Nearly three years have passed since Bow Wow last released an album.

With the summer coming to an end, Bow Wow is preparing the first single off the new album. Recently, the Cash Money rapper discussed the first single. He said the single would feature hip hop's current top dog, Lil Wayne.

Speaking on the Detail-produced song, Bow Wow said he was very excited about the track. Mr. Moss said the song was very energetic. Despite having several hits under his belt, already, he feels this one could be the biggest of his career.

Bow Wow to release New Album on November 1

Two years ago, Bow Wow announced his retirement from the rap game. At the time, landing more movie roles than performance gigs, Bow Wow said he was retiring in order to focus on his acting career. Before the end of 2009, however, it was announced that Bow Wow was signing to Cash Money.

The year of 2009 was incredible for Cash Money Records, as they signed mixtape superstars, Drake and Nicki Minaj. But, the biggest signing of the year was adding Bow Wow, a platinum rapper in his own right. Upon signing with Cash Money, Bow Wow announced he was coming out of retirement.

Towards the end of 2010, Bow Wow announced he was releasing his comeback album. Earlier this year, Bow Wow stated his new album will be titled Underrated. With his album only four months away, Bow Wow announced the first single will be "Eat the Cake," featuring Cash Money label mates, Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled.

In addition to his new album, Bow Wow will be releasing his new mixtape, Greenlight 4.

Bow Wow lands Film Gig

While Bow Wow has not made much noise this past year, he is laying the groundwork for a major 2011. In 2009, Bow Wow announced his retirement from the game. Six months later, he signed with Cash Money. This year, he announced his return.

Currently, Bow Wow is in the studio with Cash Money's finest working on his latest album. Set with collaborations from the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj, Bow Wow is planning something major. The album will be called Underrated.

Going along with his album will be Madea's Big Happy Family, featuring Bow Wow. The Ohio rapper will star in Tyler Perry's latest film as an ex-con. Madea's Big Happy Family will also be coming out in 2011.
