Tony Yayo teams up with Odd Future

Following years of stagnation, hip hop has finally received a new influx of artists. Many of these new talents come from the West Coast. The most-controversial crew from the West Coast is Odd Future. Them being the most-controversial talent out West says a lot with fellow newcomer, Lil B, naming his album, I'm Gay.

Regardless of the controversy, Tony Yayo has collaborated with Lil B in the past and is now working with Odd Future. Tony Yayo was ushered into the game, following a 2003 wave by 50 Cent. Also the member of a controversial crew, Tony Yayo has no issues working with Odd Future.

Currently, Tony Yayo is in the studio with Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, which make up Mellow Hype. Their collaboration has yet to be named.

Game discusses "The R.E.D. Album" sales

The R.E.D. Album is a milestone in Game's career. The album marks the first time Game did not mention 50 Cent. On his debut album, Game was a member of G-Unit. Game has unleashed several disses towards 50 Cent and his crew on his past two albums.

But, on The R.E.D. Album, Game was excited to be back in the studio with Dr. Dre. Because of this, and him moving on, Game said his future albums would contain no mentions of 50 Cent. Now focusing on the positive, the critical reception to Game's latest album has been wonderful.

The first-week sales of The R.E.D. Album were also impressive, as Game debuted on top of the charts. The last time Game had an album debut at number one, he was with 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. It was a nice start for Game, debutin on the top of the charts, but it was short-lived. A week later, Lil Wayne released Tha Carter IV and took over the charts.

After being out for three weeks, Game's album has sold a little over 150,000 copies. Despite all the media attention, the album is the lowest-selling of his career. Game is unaffected by this, as he has stated his debut album sold five million copies and his last two albums were platinum successes. On his latest album, Game said he recorded for the fans and not for the sales.

Lloyd Banks wants to work with Nas, but not Game

Jimmy Henchman arrested in New York City, facing Drug Charges

The manhunt is finally over, Jimmy Henchman was arrested earlier today in New York City. Nearly a month ago, a warrant for his arrest was placed. Instead of turning himself in, Rosemond went on the run, denying the allegations of him running a criminal empire.

Henchman was allegedly responsible for the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur. However, no evidence pointed to him until Dexter Isaac, one of his employees, confessed last week. Rosemond has portrayed the image of being nothing more than a hip hop executive.

Rosemond's company manages Akon, Game, Brandy, and many other high-profile celebrities. Last month, it was revealed it was nothing more than a front for his cocaine business. This is something Rosemond has denied repeatedly. While hiding out, Rosemond spoke through his attorney to deny all the allegations against him.

The mogul was arrested at Union Square in New York City earlier today by DEA agents. Aside from the drug charges, Henchman was also accused of being behind the murder of a G-Unit affiliate and several other hip hop mystery crimes.

Ja Rule talks Prison and G-Unit

The writing has been on the wall for well over a year, Ja Rule is facing prison time over his 2007 crimes. Before he was sent to prison, Rule had a list of accomplishments. First, he wanted to reunite with his former partner, Ashanti. Second, he wanted to pull off his comeback.

Ja Rule successfully reunited and is well on his way to finally pulling off his comeback. However, his long-awaited comeback album will be released while Rule is serving time. As he waited to go to prison, Rule discussed his arrangement.

The Murder Inc. rapper said his prison sentence would be different from what many expect. Because of his celebrity status, Ja Rule is confident he will not have to be with the general public. Ja Rule said guys like him are not released with the other prisoners.

Many things have changed for Ja Rule since his 1999 debut, but his feud with 50 Cent and G-Unit has remained the same. Even as Ja Rule faces four years of prison time, 50 Cent has still poked fun at him. As he waited to report to prison, Ja Rule took time to insult his rivals one last time. Rule said rap was ruined by the movement spearheaded by 50 Cent.

Because, according to Ja Rule, their movement was fueled by jealousy and hate, G-Unit helped to put hip hop in a bad situation. Ja Rule said rappers used to get together for softball games and other gatherings, before the beef rose to the forefront. But, following 50 Cent's entrace into the rap game, things grew tense again. Havoc says Mobb Deep and Nas will release Joint Album

Mobb Deep is back with a major way now that Prodigy is a free man. He has been making his rounds and working with several different artists. One of the first statements made, aside from talking G-Unit, was the possibility of Mobb Deep and Nas working together again.

During the 1990s, Mobb Deep and Nas worked so closely, Nas was considered an honorary third member. The duo was so close with Nas, he was brought into their feud with Jay-Z. It was following this when Nas stopped working with Mobb Deep.

In 2005, 50 Cent and Nas began feuding and Mobb Deep joined the feud, signing with G-Unit Records. From this point on, there has been slight beef between Nas and Mobb Deep. However, Nas said they are all past their issues and ready to make music.

What was initially intended to be only a few collaborations, has turned into a full project, according to Havoc, the producer and one half of Mobb Deep. Aside from the solo Prodigy album and the upcoming release from Mobb Deep, Havoc said Nas will be recording an album with Mobb Deep.

50 Cent hopes for more "what you gonna do it's G.O.O.D. Music and G-Unit" chants. The G-Unit CEO recently revealed his intentions of getting Kanye West to record with him on his new album. There is still no set release date nor title for 50 Cent's upcoming release.

Lloyd Banks feels Game/Young Buck reunion is Impossible

In 2004, G-Unit had taken over the radio waves, not just as a group, but as a record label. 50 Cent's songs from his debut album were still receiving radio play. Meanwhile, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck were posting hits.

The Game was intended to be the next artist from G-Unit introduced to the world. Originally, The Game was the protege` of Dr. Dre. But, for marketing reasons, he was placed with G-Unit.

On the outside, things appeared to be well within the G-Unit family, but beef was brewing. 50 Cent was angry with all of the members of the crew because they were not doing enough. On top of that, The Game began dissing 50 Cent.

Three years later, Young Buck revealed he had issues with 50 Cent and a new beef erupted. Soon, Buck teamed up with Game and they began new 50 Cent disses. G-Unit is now back to the original three, but the biggest artist is now Lloyd Banks. The former members have proposed reuniting, but Banks feels that ship has sailed.

Banks is no longer focused on G-Unit albums, instead he is focused on his own solo career. The way he sees it, Young Buck and Game made their decision, so they have to live with it.

Eight years ago, 50 Cent signed the $1 million contract with powerhouse, Interscope Records. At the time, he and his team were celebrating because they had made it. While they knew they had something great, 50 Cent and G-Unit had no idea the movement would become.

Following the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin', 50 Cent branched out into clothing and shoes. By 2004, he had a full roster of artists on G-Unit Records. Once he built the label, he expanded his company into film. In 2005, 50 Cent released his blockbuster hit, Get Rich or Die Tryin' movie.

Six years later, 50 Cent has scaled things down quite a bit, but he is still in the big money. Recently, he expanded his sub-brand, ThisIs50. So far, it houses his ThisIs50.com site and 50 Cent has bigger plans with a comedy show. Yesterday, 50 Cent revealed his intentions to launch a comedy show named "This Is 50 Comedy Show."

With the news spreading across several hip hop sites, 50 Cent has now discussed the show. He said he has some of the funniest comedians signed on for the tour. The comedy show will launch tomorrow and an episode will air once a month. Watching the show online will be free, but a charge on admission will take place to watch the show live at the Times Square Arts Center. 50 Cent said his tour will travel the earth entertaining and making people laugh for years to come.

Prodigy talks Nas truce

For years, Nas and Mobb Deep were partners in the rap game. The two were so close, Nas was considered the third member of Mobb Deep. When Jay-Z went after the duo, he mentioned Nas and together they battled Jay-Z.

But, in 2005, Nas and Jay-Z ended their feud and became friends. By this time, Nas already had issues with 50 Cent, who had just dissed Mobb Deep. Despite being dissed by 50, they joined G-Unit and dissed Nas.

Mobb Deep severed the Nas connection for G-Unit and it resulted in one disappointing album. In 2009, 50 Cent dropped Mobb Deep from the label. When Prodigy got out of prison, he reunited with Nas.

Days after their collaboration leaked, Prodigy explained their reconciliation. Prodigy said the music was more important than petty bullshit. Fresh out of prison, Prodigy is in need of hits and he wanted to link up with Nas as he is working on his own comeback.

Not even one day following the announcement, Nicki Minaj released "Tragedy." The song disses each stage of Lil' Kim's career.

Tony Yayo, a member of G-Unit, is very familiar with beefs, as his crew has gone at many foes, including Lil' Kim. While avoiding adding his own diss, Yayo tweeted Minaj's "Tragedy." Keeping his reaction short, Tony Yayo said the song was "crazy." The song is rumored to be a part of a song which will be featured on Tha Carter IV.

Over the course of his career, 50 Cent has built a persona as a jokester and a bully. For 50, he has had no issues calling out the biggest celebrities and even members of his own crew. G-Unit had become a major force by 2005 and Game was the biggest star, outside of 50, himself.

But, as Game became more and more distant, 50 Cent called him out and the feud started. After being disrespected one time too many, 50 Cent announced Game was no longer a part of G-Unit. In the time since then, 50 Cent has also had issues with G-Unit's other addition, Young Buck.

By 2009, G-Unit had hit rock bottom. 50 Cent's album was a complete flop and Interscope Records had stopped promoting his music. Lloyd Banks took it upon himself to record a number of hits, which became his H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More) album. The hits from that album helped G-Unit rebuild its fan base.

Tony Yayo has remained one of the most-loyal members of the G-Unit label. Still, this did not stop 50 Cent from recording a new song, in which he says "fuck Banks, fuck Yayo, fuck the group." The song was released yesterday, April Fool's Day and 50 Cent is a known prankster. However, 50 Cent is also known for calling out the members of G-Unit when they do not act the way 50 Cent feels they should act.
