Kanye West feels that Soulja Boy has Improved Lyrically

For his upcoming album, The DeAndre Way, Soulja Boy said that he is going to prove to the world that he could really rap. Throughout his career, Soulja Boy has been met with a lot of commercial success. But, on the other hand, the critics panned him right out of the gate. In 2008, the teen rapper said that he is capable of being a lyrical rapper, but that is not what his fans want from him.

After being voted as one of the worst rappers in history, Soulja Boy decided to give the critics what they want. He has shown a glimpse of what he can be with his appearance on the Snoop Dogg single, "Pronto." Despite this being Snoop Dogg's song, Soulja Boy makes it his right from the gate. His performance on "Pronto" is arguably the best performance on any song that he has ever been on.

The "Pronto" appearance did a lot to win some fans over. Among those fans is Kanye West. He was a supporter of Soulja Boy from the beginning. When Ice T began dissing him, Kanye told him to back off because he was only doing what the pioneers did. Every rapper is expected to bring something new in the game, but people have grown comfortable with everyone having the same style. Soulja Boy came in and changed things up and the critics could not take it.

While Kanye West has always been a supporter of Soulja Boy, he would never go as far as to say that he was a lyrical rapper. But, for the past year, they have been working together on new music and Kanye has heard some of his new music. Now, Kanye West is a true believer in Soulja Boy. Still, there are some doubters out there. For those doubters, there is Kanye West ready to let them know that "Pronto" was no fluke.
