Gucci Mane steps up on New Album

Now that he has been released from prison, Gucci Mane plans to pick up where he left off. For years, Gucci Mane has released multiple independent albums. Through the years, he built a cult following, but not too many people outside of Atlanta listened to Gucci Mane. Most people did not take him seriously.

In 2007, with the release of "Freaky Gurl," Gucci Mane began his takeover of the game. That song proved that Gucci was capable of creating a hit. Gucci Mane continued making mixtapes and independent albums that the people liked. Then, he introduced OJ da Juiceman to the public.

From that point on, everything that Gucci Mane touched has become a hit. This all led up to the release of his ever-popular debut album. The State vs. Radric Davis has been a very successful album. Aside from being his major label debut, the album made Gucci Mane into a true star.

Now that Gucci Mane has proved that he can be commerically successful, he wants to prove to the world that he can rap, too. Gucci Mane is out of prison and he is wasting no time getting to work on his latest album that he wants released before the end of the summer. On this album, Gucci Mane plans to prove that he is a skilled lyricist. All of these years, Gucci Mane has been credited as a rapper who relies on simple rhymes to make his hits. Now, though, he wants to change the perception that people have of him.

There is no set release date for the next Gucci Mane album.
