Freekey Zekey has perhaps landed the biggest role of his career when Preserve Our Legacy (POL) came to him with an offer he could not refuse. POL is an organization that spreads awareness about bone marrow, an uncommon topic in the hip hop community. The organization chose him to become their official hip hop spokesperson.

Both the Dipset rapper and POL will go before the New York City Council on November 15 to raise awareness. Freekey Zekey will also be doing multiple viral public service announcemets in order to let people know about the movement. He will share video time with other celebrities during bone marrow week later this month.

Recently, Freekey Zekey held a bone marrow drive for 10-year-old LJ Jones, who has a rare disease only found in adults. Jones is the only person in the United States with the disease, Hypereosinophilic Syndrome.

Freekey Zekey on the new partnership:

"I am honored that I can make a difference in so many people's lives, not just children but men and women of all ages. I encourage everyone that is in my position to influence, mold and shape thoughts to take a proactive approach to bringing this subject to the attention of millions, Shannon Tavarez was only 11-years-old when she was taken, only 11 and at the height of her career. Her death and others won't go in vain. 'We will preserve your legacy'."
