Trying to rebuild his empire, 50 Cent recently joined a now crowded headphone business. 50 Cent joins both his former boss and his former rivals, Dr. Dre, Diddy, and Jay-Z, in the headphone business. In 2008, Dr. Dre partnered with Monster to create his successful headphone line, Beats by Dre.
Last year, Jay-Z landed a similar venture with SkullCandy to create his new headphone line, Aviator Headphones. His brand has also been relatively successful despite being new. Now, 50 Cent, who was missing from the Fobes Cash King list, is trying to get everything back in order.
The G-Unit general will join Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, and Diddy in the headphone business. His partnership comes with Sleek Audio and they feel it will change the headphone game. The new line of headphones will be called The Sleek by 50 Cent. Each headphone was personally designed by 50 Cent and he has had full creative control in the matter so far.
50 Cent said he wanted to offer fans a new and stylish way to listen to their favorite artists. He said he has tried everything else on the market and headphones was the obvious next step.
