After landing major deals last year, A-Thug is ready to put his new connections to work. The Harlem rapper focused more on running his business last year and did not release an album. Now, with everything squared away, A-Thug plans on hitting the studio to put together a new album.
The rapper has not mentioned much about the album, but he did say to expect something different this time around. Last year, he decided to lay low and release a few mixtapes. The streets of New York are buzzing and people from all over the United States have had a small taste. But, A-Thug is ready to move it to the next level.
A-Thug has started 2011 off in a major way as he is planning on going to Africa in a few days. While in the motherland, A-Thug will spread awareness and introduce them to his music. He is very excited about the opportunity and he feels that it will help him be more well-rounded on his next album. For this album, he has major plans.
Details about the album could change, but A-Thug is going to have a heavy marketing campaign for this new release. Aside from the marketing, he has boasted of how he has stepped his lyrical game up in a tremendous way. As far as collaborations go, A-Thug has so far only listed Black Rolling Stones label-mate, Ronnie Juz, as a guest on the album. Even if Ronnie Juz is the only guest on the album, A-Thug is confident it would still be one of the best albums of 2011.
There is no set release date for A-Thug's sixth studio album, but it will be released before the end of this year.
