Yesterday, Ja Rule updated fans about his comeback attempt, announcing two albums will be released this year. The Queens rapper's last album was released in 2009. In an effort to make up for the lost time, Ja Rule plans to release two albums this year.

Outside of making music, Ja Rule has been facing legal troubles for some time. In 2007, he was arrested for being in possession of guns and illegal drugs. He spent a July night in jail alongside his partner, Lil Wayne. Both rappers have faced many court dates since.

In November, Lil Wayne completed his seven-month prison sentence. Around the same time, it was revealed that Ja Rule could face three years behind bars. Rule has been working hard to put out as much new music as possible before that date. Initially, he was to face the music of his sentencing yesterday, but he has lucked out.

Ja Rule's sentencing date has been pushed back from February 9 to March 9. Following his appearance in court, Ja Rule will be taken into custody to begin his two year prison sentence.
