Last year, Pusha T signed with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music and his popularity has skyrocketed. While Kanye West has been receiving heavy press since his 2004 debut, Pusha T has been mentioned longer. In 2002, he debuted in the rap world as one part of The Clipse.

Initially, The Clipse were very popular. Their first album sold very well, garnering three hits. But, the climb back to the top has been a very long one. The Clipse helped Star Trak Entertainment gain credibility as a label. With Snoop Dogg on the label, though, the focus soon shifted.

Four years passed between Clipse albums. Tired of waiting, the duo ended up leaving the label. Pusha T has decided to take matters into his own hands. After eight years in the game, he chose to make a break for solo music and he teamed up with Kanye West. Now, after a few months on the label, he is working on his debut album.

Pusha T said his album will focus on him defining himself, without the help of Malice. In the meantime, Pusha is promoting his mixtape, Fear of God. Currently, he does not have a title or set release date for his debut album. However, he does intend for the album to be relelased sometime before the end of 2011.
