Two years ago, Game announced he was back in the studio after announcing his retirement following L.A.X. Game intended to finish his contract with Geffen Records and move on with his career. He named his album, The R.E.D. Album and planned to release it 2009, as it was the start of the second phase of his career.
Game has spent the majority of his career focusing on the negative things. Immediately following the release of his debut album, Game began feuding with 50 Cent. Despite being signed to the same label, the two could not get along. Dr. Dre, Game's mentor, was forced to make a choice and he chose 50 Cent.
Because of this, Game was hurt and he wanted more than anything to reunite with Dr. Dre.
