Last month, West Coast hip hop suffered a major loss when news of Nate Dogg's death hit national news. The entire hip hop world took the day off to mourn. Nate Dogg worked with many artists in the game, throughout his career. Many of his collaborators spoke out.

Recently, Bay Area veteran, E-40, spoke about about the loss of Nate Dogg. E-40 understands the loss fans and critics are feeling with Nate Dogg gone. But, E-40 also understands the long-term impact of Nate Dogg's death. The hip hop world will forever have a void.

As a veteran in the game, E-40 said Nate Dogg can never be replaced. He compared the loss to the possible loss of other veterans, such as Too $hort or Jay-Z. Certain artists, who build legacies, cannot simply be replaced by newcomers in the game. While Nate Dogg's solo career never flourished, he had an incredible career as a collaborator, no one else will have in E-40's eyes.
