Recently, Bay Area veteran, E-40, spoke about about the loss of Nate Dogg. E-40 understands the loss fans and critics are feeling with Nate Dogg gone. But, E-40 also understands the long-term impact of Nate Dogg's death. The hip hop world will forever have a void.

As a veteran in the game, E-40 said Nate Dogg can never be replaced. He compared the loss to the possible loss of other veterans, such as Too $hort or Jay-Z. By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Young Money star, Drake, turned off many of his fans when he paid his respects to Nate Dogg. On Twitter, Drake tweeted RIP nate dogg, it's easy to love me now. Before Drake emerged as the singing rapper, Nate Dogg was that guy. But, as he got older, he did not do as many collaborations.

For a little while, there was a void in the hooks department. Drake has filled that void. Because of his hook abilities, some have drawn comparisons to Drake and Nate Dogg. By the look of his tweet, it seems as if Drake has made a similar comparison. Many took his "easy to love me now" statement as disrespect.

Before the situation got too out of hand, Drake said he was only quoting the late legend. On 50 Cent's 2003 hit, "21 Questions," Nate Dogg sang, "it's easy to love me now." It just so happens this is one of Drake's favorite quotes from Nate Dogg, or so he says.

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Over the past ten years, Ludacris has risen to become one of the most prolific rappers of all-time. But, there was a time when it seemed as if his dream would never come true. This all changed when Def Jam gave him a chance. His debut album did well, but many assumed Ludacris was a one hit wonder.

In order to solidify his image, Ludacris needed to land a big-time collaboration on his next album. Released on the heels of his debut came Word of Mouf. Nate Dogg heard of Ludacris and had become a fan. When he was approached to work with the Atlanta rapper, he quickly agreed.

The result of their collaboration was Ludacris' 2001 summer smash, "Area Codes." The song featured Nate Dogg and it helped mold Ludacris into a true rap star. Ludacris avoided the one hit wonder title, in part, due to Nate Dogg's help. Following the collaboration, Ludacris and Nate Dogg became friends.

Ludacris vowed to work with Nate Dogg on his projects when he became one of rap's biggest names. As he is preparing new music, Ludacris wanted to reunite with Nate Dogg to recreate magic. Because of what happened earlier today, this will never happen. Ludacris released a statement to the public, regarding the death of his friend.
