For a little over a week, Soulja Boy has been talking about his label situation. In 2007, he signed with Interscope Records and released his debut album. Initially, things were going great with his digital sales. But, the years since his first two albums have Soulja looking for a new home.

Soulja Boy said he has held meetings with Cash Money Records and may soon join their roster. If he were to join Cash Money, the deal would also include his Stacks on Deck label and its roster of artists. Cash Money Records is already one of the biggest hip hop labels and it would increase by one third.

In theory, all of this sounds good. However, there is a slight problem with the deal. According to Birdman, none of this has taken place. Soulja Boy said Interscope Records was holding up the deal that would transfer him and his crew over to Cash Money. Birdman replied to this via Twitter, saying he has not been trying to sign Soulja Boy and would not sign anyone who was already signed.

While Birdman said he had not tried to sign Soulja Boy, he said he does respect his hustle.
