Lil Wayne and Drake to perform at the 2011 BET Awards

Ever since they teamed up, Lil Wayne and Drake have formed a powerful duo in hip hop. Young Money has risen to the top of the game behind their efforts. Lil Wayne established the label in 2005, but did not have much success until Drake's arrival.

Young Money was put to the test when Lil Wayne was forced to spend seven months behind bars in 2010. During his absence, Drake properly introduced himself to the hip hop world. For the most part, the game embraced the newcomer.

Upon being released from prison, Lil Wayne continued to dominate the rap game, along with Drake. The duo closed 2010 on a high note and hit the ground running this year. Currently, Lil Wayne is dominating the game, as he waits to release Tha Carter IV.

In addition to his popular singles, Lil Wayne will now be performing alongside Drake at the 2011 BET Awards, as it was confirmed by BET executive, Stephen Hill. Chris Brown, Jill Scott, and Alicia Keys are among the other performers at the show. Both Wayne and Drake are up for 'Best Male Hip Hop Artist' and the 'Best Collaboration' award.

The 2011 BET Awards will take place on June 26 and the Shrine Auditorium, beginning at 8:00 pm.
