Outspoken rapper, 50 Cent, was at it again, earlier today. While he is getting things back in order at G-Unit Records, he touched on a number of topics. Among the things he talked about was Lloyd Banks, whom many credit with G-Unit's return to relevance.
After leaving Interscope Records, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo signed distribution deals with EMI Records. Many believe 50 Cent will move the entire G-Unit label there when he is done with his contract at Interscope. Banks released H.F.M. 2 there and was met with much success.
However, before establishing the label deal with EMI Records, there were rumors of 50 Cent heading to Def Jam. During his feud with current honcho, Rick Ross, 50 joked of possibly running the label and halting his album releases. Later that year, 50 Cent spoke of possibly joining the label.
Earlier today, 50 Cent discussed why that would never happen. In an exclusive interview, 50 Cent said he would never do business with Def Jam because their model is messed up. Before saying "you did not hear this from me, 50 Cent said Def Jam is $80 million in the hole.
