Throughout his career, DJ Khaled has featured Young Jeezy and Rick Ross on his albums. Usually, their songs are released as singles and they often become big hits. Early in their respective careers, Jeezy and Ross collaborated together. With both of them being a part of the new Def Jam South, they were expected to.

However, in 2009, Rick Ross surpassed Young Jeezy as the biggest rapper in the South on Def Jam. Young Jeezy had plans of releasing his Thug Motivation 103 album, but it was frequently delayed. On the other hand, Rick Ross has released two albums while Jeezy has been waiting.

Last year, Rick Ross released the hit single "B.M.F.," which went on to become an anthem. Young Jeezy recorded a remix to the song and Rick Ross perceived it as a diss. Because of this, Rick Ross promptly responded to the diss and a feud was born. Young Jeezy denied he was taking any shots at Ross, but Rick Ross said he did not believe him.

Nearly a year has passed since the feud between Young Jeezy and Rick Ross started. DJ Khaled spoke on their issues, since both rappers will be on his We The Best Forever album. Khaled said there is no beef between the Def Jam label-mates. According to DJ Khaled, certain people involved are trying to make it seem as if they are feuding with each other. Additionally, Khaled spoke on his role in the game, saying he is an artist, mogul, producer, and boss.
