Around this time, a year ago, Drake was the hottest rapper in the game. In the wake of his Thank Me Later release, Drake was in stereos and iPods all over the world. With collaborations with Rick Ross, and others, his run continued well into the fall.

Towards the end of last year, Drake announced he was working on his second album. The Toronto rapper announced the title of the album as Take Care. Birdman released a statement, saying the album would drop in the spring of 2011. When that release date came, Drake said the album was not prepared.

Earlier this summer, Drake said the album would be released on October 24, his birthday. Over the past few weeks, Drake has released several songs, including the internet hit, "Marvin's Room." Many felt as if "Marvin's Room" would be the first single released from Take Care. Instead, Drake has announced "Headlines" as the lead single off Take Care.
