Mobb Deep to release New Album through RED Distribution

When Prodigy was released from prison, Mobb Deep immediately returned to the headlines. Prodigy announced new solo projects from he and Havoc, along with a new album from Mobb Deep. There were also rumors of the duo returning to G-Unit Records.

In 2009, 50 Cent dropped Mobb Deep from G-Unit under orders from Interscope Records. Despite being dropped from the label, Mobb Deep still maintained a strong relationship with 50 Cent. 50 Cent even hinted at having the duo re-join his label.

Recently, Prodigy discussed the new Mobb Deep album, which will be self-titled. Prodigy promised fans their new album would be out before the end of 2011. With the album to be released before the end of this year, fans are wondering what label will release the album. Now, the fans have been provided with an answer.

After nearly twenty years, Prodigy said Mobb Deep will finally take matters into their own hands, releasing their album through Sony's distribution company, RED Distribution.
