Greg Kading clears up Statements about Biggie and Tupac

By The Hip Hop Writer

The year of 2011 has been a revolution, of sorts, for hip hop. Several new artists have emerged. Aside from the emergence of new artists, the veterans have experienced success, also. Even the deceased artists are making news.

January of 2011 began with rumors about the Tupac Shakur bio-pic and during the summer, Dexter Isaac admitted he was the person who shot Tupac in 1994 at Quad Studios. Isaac also admitted he shot the rapper on the orders of Jimmy Henchman.

Now, in the fall of 2011, Greg Kading, a former homicide detective for the LAPD, revealed information about the murders of both Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. Greg Kading said a man named Poochie was behind the shooting of The Notorious B.I.G. The former detective also said Lil' Cease has had several stories he was telling about Biggie's murder.

Yesterday, Lil' Cease came out and denied the story Greg Kading had been telling. Kading said it has been a very broad investigation, regarding Tupac's murder and it leads right into Biggie's murder. The former detective said he was led to a Crip gang member, named Orlando Anderson. He said when Anderson was forced, he admitted he, his nephew, and other Crips, were behind Tupac's murder.

Despite the rumors about The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean "Diddy" Combs being behind the Crips' attack on their former friend, Tupac Shakur, Greg Kading said the Crips were not paid off by Bad Boy. Greg Kading said there was no evidence of Biggie being involved in Tupac's murder. However, without the Biggie paying off the Crips theory, there was no reason for the Crips, or Bloods, to have murdered B.I.G.

Last week, The Outlawz made a shocking confession. Ever since the death of Tupac Shakur, there have been rumors of the rapper being alive. Fifteen years after his death, there are still questions about him being alive. If anyone would know, The Outlawz would, as they were his group.

The Outlawz were asked about Tupac Shakur's death. During the interview they said he was dead for sure. It is common knowledge that Tupac was cremated. The Outlawz told Vlad TV they smoked his ahses. Their statement was controversial and picked up by several hip hop outlets.

Now, Tupac Shakur's family is speaking out. Afeni Shakur, the mother of Tupac Shakur, spoke out against this. She was not happy with the claims. Shakur also said she would never allow, or participate in the smoking of her son. It was also said if The Outlawz even attempted to steal the ashes, they would have to fight through several channels of security.

By The Hip Hop Writer

Wale is considered by many to be the future of the hip hop game, as he is one of the few rappers who focus on lyricism. Hailing from Washington, DC, he is managed by Roc Nation and was recently added to Rick Ross' Maybach Music. Recently, Wale gave his opinion on the rap game.

Long before he ever became a rapper, Wale was a fan of the rap game. Much like the rest of the world, he watched in shock as the announcement of Tupac Shakur's death was made. From that point on, the spotlight has been on hip hop music. Wale feels the shift took place way back then.

In the fifteen years since 1996, Wale feels the fans have lost their sense of loyalty. Tupac Shakur was the last rapper to have loyal fans and when he died, the game changed. Wale said Tupac is irreplaceable and his void is still here and bigger than ever, fifteen years after he died. Wale said the media hypes of several rappers and their fans turn on them when they make it.

The Notorious B.I.G.'s murder case Back in the Headlines

By The Hip Hop Writer

Early in the morning of March 9, 1997, hip hop received another devastating blow. Months after the death of Tupac Shakur, his rival on the East Coast, The Notorious B.I.G., was also dead. The news shook hip hop and rappers took a time out. When people think of rap feuds, they do take a moment to think about the big picture now.

While the deaths of both rappers still has a major presence over the hip hop scene, it appears as if hip hop is finally moving on. Right when motion is set, more news breaks. Earlier this month, there was a hoax that Suge Knight admitted to murdering Tupac Shakur. The hip hop community was buzzing about it and stunned when it was only a joke.

On the heels of what would have been groundbreaking news, a major discovery was made. The Los Angeles Police Department recently revealed that they are actively pursuing leads. There has been new information, but they are not going to reveal it at the present time. However, they want to assure the family and friends of The Notorious B.I.G. that his case is one of their top priorities once again.

Remembering Tupac Shakur, 1971-1996

By The Hip Hop Writer

Today marks the fourteenth year since the death of the legendary gangsta rapper, Tupac Shakur. In his career, Tupac redefined the game of hip hop. Before Tupac, there were not many rappers who released an album each year. Following The Digital Underground, Shakur broke into the game.

Once the people finally heard Tupac rap, the world was his and he ran with it. Late in 1991, he debuted with "Brenda's Got a Baby," raising the awareness of teenage pregnancy. Early in his career, Tupac was known for social concious rap. However, soon he adapted his game and spread knowledge for the thugs, henceforth the Thug Life movement.

Despite all of the great things he brought to the rap game, Tupac will be best-known for his involvement in the East Coast/West Coast feud. There are many people who believe his death was one of the results from the feud. Initially, Tupac was a mentor to Brooklyn rapper, The Notorious B.I.G., but once Biggie became famous, he and Tupac ended up being rivals. Everything changed when Tupac was in the same studio with Biggie and Puff Daddy and Tupac ended up being shot in 1994.

The feud was on, despite never garnering a reply from Bad Boy. In 1995, Tupac was arrested, but he was bailed out by Marion "Suge" Knight, the head of Bad Boy's rival, Death Row Records. With Death Row behind him, Tupac sounded off on Bad Boy through his All Eyez on Me album and the scathing diss record, still played heavily today, "Hit Em Up." Sadly, following the release of this song and the album and right before the release of The Seven Day Theory, Tupac was brutally murdered in Las Vegas.
