Three years ago, Shawty Lo broke out and embarked upon a solo career. Along the way, he also ignited a beef with T.I., a fellow rapper from Bankhead. Early in 2008, the two rappers reached a high-profile feud. Shawty Lo was the frontman for D4L and he also turned the group into a record label.
Following his success in 2008, Shawty Lo decided to release his second album. Throughout the remainder of 2008, Shawty Lo began promoting his second album. Shawty Lo intended to release the album before the end of 2009. Early in 2009, promotion for the Carlos album began.
The Carlos album was delayed throughout both 2009 and 2010. It is now 2011 and Shawty Lo is also label-less. With things not looking well for him, Shawty Lo is working on new music. While he is working, the Atlanta rapper is searching for a new label home. If he had a choice in where he was going, Lo would like to sign with G-Unit.
