Nicki Minaj was hit with a major loss, earlier this week. Her cousin, with whom she was very close to, was murdered in cold blood. In the end, it was revealed he was not even the intended victim of the shooting. Doing nothing to ease the pain, Nicki Minaj has been in mourning ever since.

Yesterday, a song titled "We Miss You" leaked to the internet. With the death of her cousin, many fans and hip hop sites assumed the song was about her cousin. Because he had died only a few days before, this was a safe assumption. However, because it was safe does not mean it was true.

Instead, Nicki Minaj said she recorded "We Miss You" over a year ago. Nicki admitted the lyrics eerily depict her cousin's death, but the song was written and recorded on May 24, 2010.
