After being on the backburner for two years, Big Sean was able to release his debut album, Finally Famous, this summer. "My Last," the lead single from the album, was released in March and has been an anthem for most of the year. Due to his lead single, most people only see Big Sean as a party rapper, but he is so much more.

The Detroit rapper has several songs on his debut album that have deep subject matter. Two of Big Sean's deeper songs are "Memories" and "So Much More." Big Sean says his grandmother helped inspire those songs. His grandmother helped shape Big Sean's perspective on life.

Big Sean said his "So Much More" single takes him back to his grandmother's house. The song reflects him at her house, as she makes pancakes, him watching cartoons, and his childhood, as a whole. With his grandmother now 95 years of age, Big Sean said she reflects on the best parts of her life, as she is much older now.

Big Sean said he realizes, at the end of the day, all a person has is memories and he is trying to put together the most memories possible.
