Tyler, the Creator featured on the Wall Street Journal

In 2011, all of Tyler, the Creator's dreams have come true. His album, Goblin, has sold well, independently. Aside from his record sales, Tyler, the Creator recently won an MTV Award for 'Best New Artist.' During the ceremony, in between insults towards Bruno Mars, Tyler, the Creator said it was a dream come true.

Tyler, the Creator has built up significant buzz over the past two years. This buzz has not gone unnoticed by The Wall Street Journal. Recently, the famed business publication featured the Odd Future frontman. The Wall Street Journal was very impressed by Tyler, the Creator's business sense and style.

Now, more and more celebrities are releasing their music for free. These artists are doing this because they hope it will help them gain more fans. Tyler, the Creator has used the new digital market to establish career. However, he does not agree with giving away music for free. Tyler does not believe this will lead to better record sales, over any period of time, he knows people will take anything for free, especially music.

With the changes in the music industry, The Wall Street Journal was impressed with the way Tyler includes various types of music in his style. While he is categorized as a rapper, Tyler, the Creator calls his style a mixture between rap and rock with much profanity thrown in. His eccentric style has attracted many fans and it has also turned off many longtime hip hop fans. Most, on both sides of the debate, do not realize how talented Tyler, the Creator is. At the age of twelve, he taught himself how to play the piano.

The Wall Street Journal picked up on Tyler, the Creator still living at home with his younger sister and mother, along with his onslaught of disses aimed at Bruno Mars. At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, the question of why Tyler hated Bruno Mars came up. Tyler, the Creator revealed he hated his music and he does not think it is a big deal when he states it. On a personal level, he has no issues with Bruo Mars, but musically, he hates him.

Overall, 2011 has been a dream come true for Tyler, the Creator.
