Jay Electronica calls out Game over Erykah Badu name-drop
By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Game has made a career off name-dropping. On his latest album, The R.E.D. Album, Game has a track called "Martians vs. Goblins." The song features Lil Wayne and Tyler, the Creator.
The song contains disses to Tyler Perry, Lil B, Bruno Mars, LeBron James and others. Towards the end of the song, Game said he had sex with Erykah Badu. Game raps "I spit like I had kids with Erykah Badu."
While Game does not have kids with Erykah Badu, Jay Electronica does. Jay Electronica told Game he is happy for his strong comeback. However, he is not pleased with him mentioning the mother of his child on the record.
Jay Electronica told Game Erykah Badu and her children love his music. He said Game should never mention the mother of his children again. With all of them supporting him and listening to his music, Jay Electronica does not want Game saying crazy things on the record. Jay Electronica said it was all love between himself and Game, but not want any more disrespectful lyrics.
Game discussed the song and said he only rapped so crazy because Tyler, the Creator was on the record. In doing a track with him, Game allowed himself to say anything crazy he wanted to say. While Game mentioned Erykah Badu, it was nothing like what he said about LeBron James and his mother. Read more...

With his tenth album, Life is Good, on the way, Nas is still one of the most-prominent rappers in the game. Twenty years ago, Nas first began seriously rapping. Recently, Nas discussed all of this with XXL magazine, interviewed by Tyler, the Creator.
Tyler, the Creator is one of the brightest new stars in the rap game. His dominance has just started, as he is only twenty, himself. During his interview with Nas, Tyler had several questions for personal reasons. As a rapper, it is a great opportunity to speak with someone who has been rapping as long as you have been living.
A major Nas fan, Tyler, the Creator talked with him about a number of topics. Tyler, the Creator told Nas his favorite albums from him were 2002 God's Son and 2004's Street's Disciple. Because Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z, and Snoop Dogg all started a twenty years old and have remained in the game, Tyler says he questions if he, too, can last for well over a decade and a half. Nas told Tyler, the Creator he definitely could last that long in the game.
When Tyler, the Creator asked Nas if he was happy, Nas told him his album is titled Life is Good, but if he could change one thing, he would have his children living with him. Nas has two children, a daughter, who was one topic in his legendary feud with Jay-Z, and a son with Kelis. For a few years, Nas and Kelis were married and their son was the product of their marriage. Shortly after his birth, Nas and Kelis' marriage fell apart and she was awarded primary custody over the child.
Nas said, aside form his children not being with him, life is indeed good, though. Read more...

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Odd Future has gone through an incredible experience in 2011. Frank Ocean was signed by Def Jam and has had much commercial success. On the other hand, Tyler, the Creator won a VMA and has become one of rap's biggest new stars.
Originally, Odd Future Records was nothing more than an outlet for Odd Future. The label had no intentions of adding any outsiders. Things changed when the label ran across Young Ni**a. The label signed him because of his style.
The label's publicist said they could not turn down signing someone who was so talented. They said Young Ni**a embodies the Odd Future movement and he has commercial popularity. Read more...

By The Hip Hop Writer

Last year, B.o.B. released his debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The album spawned three chart-topping hit singles. While T.I. was in prison, B.o.B. was setting records for the label. Now, T.I. is out and on the comeback trail, B.o.B. is also looking to follow-up on his own success.
Back in February, B.o.B. was dissed by Tyler, the Creator on his song, "Yonkers." Tyler, dissing two B.o.B. hits, said he wanted to crash the "fuckin airplane at thar faggot nigga bobby and stab Bruno Mars in his G*d-damn asophogas."
Bruno Mars laughed the disses off, while B.o.B. prepared for war, replying with a full diss record, "No Future." DJ Whoo Kid recently talked with B.o.B. during his show on Shade45. Game hails Tyler, the Creator as the West Coast's Eminem
By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Game has supported Tyler, the Creator and Odd Future ever since they debuted. Tyler, the Creator has had a major year, this year, with successful music and disses for both Chris Brown and Bruno Mars. During Odd Future's beef with Chris Brown, Game tried to diffuse the situation.
While the feud was not resolved, Game featured both crews on his album, The R.E.D. Album. Perhaps the most controversial track off the album is "Martians vs. Goblins." It should come as no surprise, to those familiar with Odd Future that the track features none other than Tyler, the Creator.
The song, which leaked last month, features Game rapping in a similar pattern to Tyler, the Creator. The gangsta rapper takes a gothic turn on the song, dissing Rihanna and Lil B in the opening lines of the song. Tyler, the Creator takes the second verse, dissing Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Tyler Perry, and LeBron James. Game concludes the song going after Erykah Badu and LeBron James.
While Game is controversial, many did not expect him to say many of the things he said. Speaking on the song, Game said his lyrics were inspired by Tyler, the Creator. His reason for doing this was because "when you're on a song with Tyler, you can say whatever the fuck you want." Game admitted he is already outspoken on his songs, but Tyler takes things to another level. The Compton rapper went on to compare the newcomer to Eminem.
Eminem gained international fame in 1999 for his controversial lyrics. However, Tyler, the Creator's lyrics makes Eminem's seem conservative, at times. Game said Tyler is the Eminem of the West Coast. Read more...
