In 2007, surprising news about Nate Dogg leaked to the internet. There were stories about the rap crooner having suffered from a stroke. Nate Dogg came out and confirmed his health issues then.

A year later, in 2008, there were more rumors about Nate having another stroke. However, this time around, it was said that he was on life support. Once his health improved, Nate Dogg also confirmed these rumors.

Two days ago, Nate Dogg suddenly died. All of the reports only spoke of his death. While they spoke of his death, they did not state how he died. Many assumed it was due to his prior health issues.

Yesterday, Nate Dogg's attorney announced the cause of his death. His attorney confirmed complications from his last stroke led to his death. The hip hop community has been in mourning ever since Nate Dogg's death was revealed to the public. Many artists have given their condolences and have recorded tribute songs for Nate Dogg.

Gangsta rap lost a true pioneer this morning when Nate Dogg died at the age of 41. Nate Dogg began his career with the upstart Death Row Records. One of the quiet members of the crew, Nate Dogg was in the middle of the biggest beef of all-time.

Despite being a part of some of hip hop's toughest crews, Nate Dogg earned crossover appeal. By the 2000s, Nate was primarily known as Snoop Dogg's sidekick. He has provided hooks for many of the top rappers in the game. In 2007, Nate had a stroke that almost claimed his life.

In 2008, Nate Dogg had another stroke and was on life support. Things did not look too good for him then, but he soon turned things around. Nate Dogg had been working on getting in shape. Once he got his feet back under him, the Long Beach native planned to return to the studio, but these plans have obviously changed.

Nate Dogg lost his battle after four years of fighting. Today, Hip Hop Vibe will honor Nate Dogg with several of his videos being shown throughout the day.
